| With the implementation of the new curriculum reform,the proportion of the English reading plate is becoming more and more important,so the English reading ability is becoming more and more important.In high school English learning,how to efficiently carry out English learning has always been a confused problem for students and teachers.Most students’ English learning concepts always stay in the repeated memory of words in middle school,and they always can not find a more effective learning path other than memorizing words.Therefore,what kind of reading strategy can effectively improve students’ reading ability,and then enhance students’ interest,form a virtuous circle,and ultimately improve their English performance is the problem that teachers pay more attention to.So,in view of the above problems,the author based on related research related to schema theory,in Yulin High School in Guangxi 100 students as the research object,the questionnaire,interview research tools,aims to explore more suitable for high school English learning reading strategy,provide relatively targeted Suggestions for high school English teaching.The research problems in this paper are as follows:1.Which reading strategies are applicable under the guidance of the schematic theory?2.What is the impact of these reading strategies on improving students’ reading interest,changing their reading attitudes and optimizing their reading methods?3.What are the effects of these reading strategies on improving students’ reading ability?This paper first summarizes the classification of reading strategies under the schema theory through the literature investigation method,and uses it in the three-month teaching experiment.At the end of the experiment,the two English reading tests,and processes the data with spss16.0 statistical software,and draws the following conclusions;(1)Among the reading strategies guided by schema theory,there are applicable reading strategies,emphasizing image reading and guide prediction ability;promote association and visualization;modify predefined assumptions before reading;apply generalization ability;guide comparison and analyze information;evaluate text information.These methods and steps can help students better understand English reading materials,and improve their reading ability and critical thinking ability.(2)According to the research,using reading strategies under the schema theory can have a positive impact on improving students’ interest in reading,changing their reading attitude and optimizing their reading methods.Using the reading strategy under the schema theory can help students better understand and remember the information in the text,enhance students ‘understanding and interest in the text content,change students’ attitude and concept towards reading,and make students more actively participate in reading.It can also help students to adopt more efficient and systematic reading methods,so as to improve students’ reading level and effect.(3)The reading strategy under the schema theory can have a positive impact on improving students’ reading ability.Using schema representations can help students better understand and remember the information in the text and improve their reading comprehension.Using illustrations can also help students better grasp the structure and focus of the text and improve their reading strategies and skills.Furthermore,the use of illustrations can enhance students’ vocabulary learning,especially when abstract concepts are involved.Therefore,the use of illustration as a reading strategy can help students to master English reading skills more effectively.Through the comparison of pre-test and post-test scores,we can find that in the use of schemas The performance of the experimental class under the guided reading strategy training has been significantly improved.From the perspective of learning and teaching,the schema theory brings us the following enlightenment:As students,we can improve our reading level by adding the thematic related background knowledge,perfecting the formal schema and expanding the language schema.As a teacher,students can be taught through the following methods and steps:schema theory teaching: In the English reading course,the basic concepts and principles of schema theory can be introduced to help students better understand the design and use of schema theory,and improve their schema reading ability.Analyze schema: Teachers can choose some representative English reading materials,ask students to analyze the illustrations,and evaluate whether they conform to the principle of illustration theory.In this way,students can gain more insight into the elements of schema design and use and learn how to apply schema theory to assess the quality of the schema representation.Create schema: In an English reading course,teachers can ask students to create their own illustrations to present the information in an English text.In this way,students can apply their knowledge on schema theory and through practice to further master the skills of schema design and use.Combine text and schema: In an English reading course,teachers can ask students to observe and analyze the English text,and try to combine the text and schema information.In this way,students can understand more fully
