Research On Chen Longzheng’s Famine Relief Policy Committee

Chen Longzheng(1585-1645)was born in Jiashan,Zhejiang Province in the seventh year of Chongzhen(1634).As a famous Neo-Confucianism scholar in the late Ming Dynasty,the academic circles have made great achievements in his research.When scholars focus on his theoretical thoughts,the research on his works should also be givenThe Famine Relief Policy Committee has been written for more than 300 years.It is Chen Longzheng’s only book devoted to famine relief.Seven volumes deal with famine relief,the law of famine relief and the imperial edict.The three major contents are an important encyclopedia in the late Ming Dynasty.Compilation of famine relief documents Chen Longzheng advocated Buddhism when he was young,and then changed to Confucianism.He worshipped Gao Panlong and Wu Zhiyuan to study Chongzhen in the seventh year(1634).After he was a scholar,he served as a scholar before and after entering the official position.Most of the friends Chen Longzheng made were Donglin Party members and Jiashan territorial officials.The Famine Relief Policy Committee mainly records the historical materials from the Three Emperors and Five Emperors to Chongzhen in Ming Dynasty,some of which are also his own famine relief practice The current version is the Jieliang Hall engraving in the fifteenth year of Chongzhen in Ming Dynasty(1642).This home engraving is stored in Shanghai Library The Famine Relief Policy Committee includes the deeds and methods of famine relief from Yao,Shunyu to Song Dynasty,including Dong Wei’s method of famine relief and the methods of famine relief from famous officials in Song Dynasty,which provide theoretical construction for famine relief.The imperial edicts and memorials include various imperial edicts and memorials from Yuan Dynasty to Ming Dynasty,and the memorials are mainly composed of Zhou Chen and Zhou Confucius.The Famine Relief Policy Committee retains abundant historical materials,which mainly reflects Chen Long’s thought of being practical and his scientific thought of breaking superstition,which has high historical value.
