Study On The Historical Geography Of JianShi City

Jianshi County is located in the southwest of Hubei Province,bordering Chongqing City and Hubei Province,known as the "Chuan-Chu throat." Jianshi County is an ancient county with a long history.This paper discusses the changes of Jianshi City from the perspective of historical geography to provide reference for its development.During the period of the Three Kingdoms,Wu,Yong’an,three years(260)Jianshi County is divided into Wu County and Zigui County were subordinate to Jianping County of Jingzhou.After the founding of the county home,although several after the abolition,but the name of the county has not changed.Liu Song period,Jianshi County was abandoned for more than 100 years.In the Third Year of Jiande(574)of the Northern Zhou Dynasty,three administrative districts of Yexu,Juntun County and Jianshi County were set up at the same time.Third-class administrative district with the rule of the city,located in this state base under the cotton dam,the rise of the city,historically known as "Ye state city." In the early years of the Northern Song Dynasty,the city of Yezhou was abandoned,and the city was relocated and has been built since(Yezhou city today).The New Jianshi City enjoys a unique geographical position.Peaks stand on all sides,clutching nature,easy to defend and difficult to attack,four-water exchanges,the structure of natural,forming a natural moat.Jianshi County has a warm and humid climate,abundant water resources and fertile soil.These conditions favor the rise of cities.There were many ethnic groups in Jianshi County,including the Tujia people who had lived here for a long time,and other ethnic groups who had moved in during different periods.Due to the different origins of history,the customs of different ethnic groups are obviously different.With the development of society,all ethnic groups live in different places,absorb,learn from each other,exchange and integration,customs and habits gradually tend to be the same.Before the early Ming Dynasty,Jianshi City had no walls.The earth wall was built in Hongzhi three years(1490).Seven years(1512),replaced by brick walls.The construction of the city wall demarcated the size of the city.With the development of economy,the buildings in the city are increasing and the function of the city is improving.However,due to repeated attacks by the war,the city on the eve of liberation few ancient buildings.Jianshi registered permanent residence population experienced two great fluctuations in Yuan,Ming and Qing dynasties.The population of Yuan Dynasty was greatly reduced because of the war and the cruel rule of Mongolian rulers.At the end of the Ming Dynasty and the beginning of the Qing Dynasty,many forces conquered the county and made the population of Jianshi County endangered.After Kangxi Emperor Period,the population gradually rebounded.The reign of Emperor Yongzheng and Emperor Qianlong witnessed the fastest population growth in Jianshi County.After the Qin and Han Dynasties,the immigrants moved into China,most of which were Han,gradually surpassed the aborigines and became the main ethnic group in China.The influx of immigrants promoted the development of the Founding Area.Before the Five Dynasties,the territory was sparsely populated and economically backward,and the traditional slash-and-burn farming was the main mode of agricultural production.After the Song Dynasty,cattle farming introduced to the level of productivity increased significantly.At the same time,to textile,smelting-based handicraft industry gradually developed.The gradual commercialization of agricultural and sideline products led to the development of domestic commercial trade.As Jianshi County was located in the border area between Han Dynasty and Han Dynasty,tributary trade became an organic part of commerce.After the founding of New China,Jianshi City ushered in new development opportunities,great economic and cultural development,but there are also some problems,historical and cultural relics and intangible cultural heritage has not been effectively protected.Only by properly dealing with the relationship between economic construction and protection of historical and cultural relics,can Jianshi City develop well and quickly.
