Study On The Historical Geography Of WuMing City

Wuming District,located in the central and southern part of Guangxi,is the largest municipal district of Nanning.In the long years,Wuming city zigzagging development,accumulated profound cultural deposits.This paper studies the vicissitudes of Wuming City from the perspective of historical geography and provides reference for its development.Wuming district was formerly wuming County and Wuming County.In the fifth year of Tiansheng in the Northern Song Dynasty(1027),the office of Wuyuan County was moved from Lingli Town in Qingxiu District to Chengxiang Town in Wuming District.Wuming City has a history of nearly one thousand years.In the third year of Jingyou(1036),Lechang County was merged into Wanyuan County.In the fourth year of the Reign of Emperor Zhi Ping(1067),Zhige township of Shanglin County was incorporated into Wanyuan County,and the upper east and lower south townships of Wanyuan County were placed under Xuanhua County.So far,wu yuan county territory basically stable down.The first year of the Republic of China(1912),Wuduan county into sien Mansion,Sien Mansion was renamed Wuming Mansion.In the second year of the Republic of China(1913),the original Area of Wuyuan County set up wuming County,"Wuming" county name beginning in this.In 2015,Wuming County was renamed Wuming District.The terrain of Wuming district is mainly mountainous and hilly,with warm and humid climate and sufficient water,which is suitable for the development of agricultural production.The indigenous peoples of Wuming district are zhuang,han,Miao and other ethnic populations are immigrants from other provinces.The customs and habits of Wuming district have strong Zhuang characteristics.There is only one historical city in Wuyuan County,that is,the brick city built in the 24 th year of Hongwu(1391).Wuming city daming Mountain as a barrier,with superior defensive conditions.Wuming city is the county’s political,economic and cultural center,due to the reasonable location,the city has not changed.With the development of the city,the infrastructure in wuming city is gradually improved.In the Qing Dynasty,wuming city formed a city layout with the county office as the center,supplemented by palaces,temples and so on.The population of Wuming city changes with the political situation.In Ming Dynasty,wanyuan county suffered many wars and its population grew slowly.After the Qing Dynasty,the political situation was relatively stable,and the population as a whole showed a rising trend.The economy of Wanyuan county is mainly agricultural,and rice is the main grain crop.In addition,also planted tobacco,peanuts,watermelon and other cash crops.The commerce of Wuyuan County started late until the Period of the Republic of China.Due to warlord infighting and Japanese invasion,the commercial development of Wuming city was severely damaged.Education in Wanyuan County developed gradually after the Ming Dynasty.During the Ming and Qing Dynasties,six academies were established in Wuyuan County,as well as social and voluntary schools.Wuming city residents believe in Taoism,Buddhism,Christianity,Catholicism and so on.In addition,there are primitive religions.In the long years,Wuming county emerged li Bi,Liu Dingyou,Zhang Miaoquan,Huang Chengyuan,Lu Rongting and other historical and cultural celebrities,for the city left a valuable cultural heritage.After the founding of new China,Wuming city has been a great development.Since the reform and opening up,Wuming city has developed more rapidly.However,wuming city also encountered some problems in the development process,such as inadequate protection of historical and cultural relics,traffic congestion and so on.These are not conducive to the sustainable development of Wuming City.We should properly deal with the relationship between the protection and utilization of historical and cultural relics and build characteristic urban culture.Make full use of ethnic customs and natural scenery to develop characteristic tourism;We will strengthen infrastructure development and improve the public service system.Only in this way,Wuming city can develop well and quickly.
