Study On The Historical Geography Of XingWen City

Xingwen County is located in the southern part of the Sichuan Basin,close to Yunnan and Guizhou provinces.Xingwen County is both an ancient Bo living area and the county with the largest Miao population in Sichuan Province,with quite a distinctive ethnic and local culture.This article combs the change process of Xingwen City from the perspective of historical geography,sums up the experience and lessons,and provides reference and reference for the development of Xingwen City.In the second year of Tai Shi of the Western Jin Dynasty(266),Bo Dao County was set up in the territory of present-day Xingwen County and was subordinate to Gandhara County.During the Liang Dynasty,Gandai County was changed to Rongzhou County,and the county remained unchanged.In order to appease the minority in this area,Tang Yi Feng two years(677)set up Yanzhou(tie-up state)in the territory of original Bo Dao County.After that,it has been raised and abolished several times.In Ming Hongwu four years(1371),Rongzhou was reduced to Rongxian.In May 1985,Xingwen City was moved from Xingwen Town to Zhongcheng Town(now Gusong Town).Xingwen town as the county seat of Xingwen,there are 411 years of history.As the political and economic center of Xingwen County,Xingwen Town not only had convenient transportation,but also flourished culturally.During the change of dynasties,the population of Xingwen Town moved frequently,and a large number of people moved in and out of the town,which not only promoted cultural exchanges from all over the world,but also had a great impact on the customs and habits of Xingwen Town.The earliest wall of Xingwen City was built in the middle of Ming Hongwu.With the development of Xingwen City,the buildings in the city gradually increased.In the Qing Dynasty,Xingwen City formed a planar pattern with the county office as the center,complemented by the school palace,the academy,and the residences.The population of Xingwencheng changed with the change of political situation.In general,the number of people in Xingwen City showed a gradual growth trend.Xingwen County mainly grows food crops and has fewer cash crops.Due to the backward production technology and frequent natural disasters,food production is not high.Cash crops such as medicinal herbs,hides and skins,melons and fruits were not only self-sufficient but also exported to the outside world,which increased the income of residents.In the late Ming and early Qing dynasties,the commercial development of Xingwen City was stagnant due to the long war.After the unification of the Qing Dynasty,with the gradual stabilization of the political situation,Xingwen City’s commerce was also restored and developed.Along with economic development,education in Xingwen County also made some progress.During the Qing Dynasty,Xingwen County established a set of educational institutions ranging from school palaces and academies to voluntary schools.Many historical and cultural celebrities emerged in the history of Xingwen County and contributed to the development of the country and Xingwen County.After the liberation,the development of Xingwen City entered a new stage,and various undertakings have been greatly developed.Especially after Xingwen County People’s Government moved to Gusong Town,the city infrastructure has been improved,the city population has been increasing,and the urban area has been gradually expanded.However,due to the lack of reasonable planning,the destruction of ancient buildings in the city is serious,traffic congestion often occurs,the development of Xingwen New Town(Gusong Town)has had a certain negative impact.For the better development of Xingwen New Town,we must clarify the development ideas,solve the outstanding problems faced,develop tourism resources scientifically and stimulate the vitality of the city,only in this way can we achieve the leapfrog development of Xingwen New Town.
