Shen Zhiyuan’s Contribution To Early Chinese Marxist Philosophy

Shen Zhiyuan is an outstanding Marxist philosopher,famous economist and translator in the first half of the 20 th century.As a scholar with all-round development in many fields,Shen Zhiyuan has written 19 philosophical works and translated works and published about 60 philosophical articles.These works have certain significance in the process of Sinicization of Marxist philosophy.We take Shen Zhiyuan’s contribution to early Chinese Marxist philosophy as the main line,starting from his life and based on his philosophical writings,summarize shen Zhiyuan’s contribution in the field of early Chinese Marxist philosophy,which is conducive to an objective evaluation of Shen Zhiyuan and his Marxist philosophy thoughts.Shen Zhiyuan’s contribution to the field of early Marxist philosophy in China is mainly reflected in the following three aspects: first,he actively introduced and spread Marxist philosophy to China.Shen Zhiyuan,based on his study results and practical activities in the Soviet Union,wrote A Review of the Trend of Soviet Russian Philosophy to introduce Marxist philosophy in Soviet Russia,and translated Dialectical materialism and Historical Materialism,Employment labor and Capital and other foreign literature to spread Marxist philosophy.In addition,Shen Zhiyuan was also responsible for editing the theoretical journal Theory and Reality,which provided a front for the spread of Marxist philosophy in early China.Second,he standardized and popularized the development of Marxist philosophy in China.At this stage,Shen Zhiyuan not only wrote the Dictionary of New Philosophy,which laid the foundation for the systematic and standardized development of Marxist philosophy in China.At the same time,he also wrote The Basic Problems of Modern Philosophy,Women’s Social Science Common Sense readers and other popular Marxist philosophy with Chinese characteristics,to promote the popular development of Marxist philosophy.Thirdly,he analyzes and interprets the classic works of Marxism.Shen Zhiyuan combined with different period society in marxism classic learning needs,continue to deepen the study of marxist classics,wrote the study to Das Kapital preparation,Commentary on Contradiction,Study Selected Works of MAO Zedong,Volume 1and other writings.Shen Zhiyuan’s contribution to the early Chinese Marxist philosophy is summarized.He introduced and spread Marxist philosophy to China systematically,defended and standardized popularization of Marxist philosophy in China,and contributed an important force to the development of Marxist philosophy in China.
