Index of Complete Collection of Inscripitions and Images of Bronzes from the Shang and Zhou Dynasties(hereinafter referred to as index)is the most complete comprehensive reference book of inscriptions and images of Shang and Zhou bronzes(hereinafter referred to as mingtu)and the sequel of inscriptions and images of Shang and Zhou bronzes(hereinafter referred to as sequel)compiled by Mr.Wu Zhenfeng.The description information of 18212 bronzes with inscriptions(16703 inscriptions and1509 continuations)in mingtu and sequel is divided into three main parts: clan emblem,person name and place name,and arranged in the order of strokes.This paper checks the bronze information recorded in index and mingtu one by one,and based on the existing bronze description reference books,related resource library,bronze research literature and other resources,corrects and analyzes the information errors of bronze,and supplements the missing bronze information in index.This paper is divided into three parts: introduction,collation and research,and summary.The introduction first introduces the research background,and explains the structure and content,shortcomings and deficiencies of this paper.The collation and supplement research is the main part of the article,and the main content is the collation and Research on the clan emblem and person name in the index.The article checks and analyzes more than 10000 pieces of copper ware,and finally corrects and supplements431 pieces of copper ware In the part of clan emblem,more than 20 bronzes,such as "Ji","Jie Yun","Bian","Shu ning","Bi" and "Xian",were re interpreted and re assigned in combination with Oracle Bone Inscriptions and "Jin Wen Bian";in the part of personal name,more than 10 bronzes,such as "Gong Fu","Gong Shi ","Gong Shi Lin" and "Da Gong Yin Han Chi",were re interpreted and re assigned in combination with "Warring States characters Bian" and "Jin Wen Bian" This paper makes a new textual research on the edition of the characters of the three Jin Dynasty and the related bronze research results.The last part is the summary and analysis of the related problems left in the author’s revision research,and the prospect and thinking of the future research.
