As the cloud player community expands, people become more familiar with this term. When people talk about cloud players, they often see them as video game audiences, and put them in a derogatory context(when compared to major players). However, video games offer more than just the pleasure of control and manipulation. The special experience that cloud players have in connecting with the game world is also an important part of the game experience, the gaming experience of cloud players should therefore be considered an integral part of video game research. The first chapter answers the question,is the cloud player a player, and the question of whether the cloud player experience can be classified as a video game experience, and the answer is yes.Although they are generally viewed as bystanders and receivers, their experience as an audience of a particular medium, video games,is certainly different from that of readers and viewers. With the development of video games, several key words used by game scientists to define their specificity are being expanded.“Cloud play” can undoubtedly be included as a play behavior, and similarly,it’s the birth of the cloud player that keeps these features up to date. The second chapter, based on the conclusion of the first chapter, further discusses the relationship between the cloud player and the inner world of the game, and also makes a detailed analysis of the cloud player’s game experience. If cloud players are players, how does this group relate to the game world, and what experiences they can get from video games.Based on Woulfe’s analysis of the three elements of the game world—spatial structure, habitat, and logic—this paper explores the link between cloud players and the virtual world within the game.Narrative-heavy games, such as adventure games and interactive movie games are particularly good at creating fresh virtual worlds, and the main way players interact with the world is by exploring:Talking to characters, observing objects, gathering information in a virtual space and getting to know how the world is constructed. The internal imaginary world constructed by games provides a special immersive experience for cloud players, that is,fictional immersion, which is also closely related to the two types of games we talk about. In addition, this chapter tries to explain that cloud player immersive experience is multi-faceted and volatile. The third and second chapters explore the relationship between cloud players and the game world, the second chapter analyzes the relationship between cloud players and the game’s internal fictional world, and the third chapter explores the relationship between cloud players and the external “Common World”.The outside world of video games is primarily a cross-media world, with cloud players wandering across multiple worlds what Jenkins calls “Media Convergence” world, expanding on the imaginary worlds which described in chapter 2.And it is precisely because of the existence of the cross-media world that the radiation of the game world begins to exceed the sphere of the imaginary world. The game is no longer a theme park with specific images and illustrations, and become a backbone of our world. The world of video games is no longer a virtual space where people escape from the real world.Instead, the world of everyday life collapses into it as it shrinks, and the inflated world of games becomes reality itself. This collective fantasy world is also an important part of the cloud player’s game experience, which can be analyzed from Walter Ong’s point of view that the electronic age is “The age of secondary oral culture”.The work of the host of a console game is received by the cloud player through electronic devices, and the“knowledge” he creates is exchanged,re-created and diffused among the cloud players, which constitutes the cloud player’s game experience.
