Nowadays,traditional ceramic materials have been transformed into modern compound materials with exceptional physical properties under the development of science and technology,which are widely used in daily necessities,high-precision engineering,biomedical and other product fields.However,humanistic historical and cultural semantics behind traditional ceramics are not available in modern ceramic materials.As the representative of traditional ceramics in China,Song Dynasty porcelain still amaze the world after thousands of years with its elegant aesthetics and ingenious manufacturing technology,the cultural value which contains has broad application prospects in the modern product market.Digitizing technology brings the possibility for the application of the cultural attributes of Song Dynasty porcelain in modern product market.In terms of propagation,ancient porcelain of Song Dynasty move from offline museum to online website by the help of digitizing technology,breaking the defect of the singleness in traditional media.In terms of application,the combination of digital technology and Song Dynasty ceramic culture provides designers with more efficient design tools,freer design expression and more diverse design results for the fields of CMF design and cultural creativity,and also provides a path for the integration of traditional cultural elements into modern industrial manufacturing.Under the above background,the research is divided into three stages: "cultural research-technological development-design application".First of all,in the cultural research stage,overall research is carried out on the ceramic culture and art of the Song Dynasty,industrial developmenta,aesthetic style,porcelain making technology and representative kilns is comprehensively summarized.Based on the above research content,the possibility of combining procedural generation with traditional ceramic materials in Song Dynasty was explored,specifications and methods for the whole digitizing process were formulated.And finally,production of procedural PBR materials of the five famous kilns in Song Dynasty output was done,which have the characteristics of high simulation,random generation,and customized parameters.As "digital assets" and "design aid",these procedural PBR materials provide services for creative workers in the field of digital culture and creative design.The design application stage is the design practice part of the research.The procedural PBR materials of the five famous kiln ceramics in Song Dynasty are applied to the CMF design of modern consumer electronic products and automobile interiors,finally the CMF design proposals: "Elegance of Song" for Huawei Mate40 and “Cyan in Black” for Polestar 2 were completed.The application of traditional ceramic material in the CMF design of modern products is discussed,based on which the presentation form of the cultural attributes carried by traditional materials in the modern high-end consumer market is studied.In the final part,the thesis summarizes the parts that need to be further studied,defines the technical barriers in the transformation of digital materials into physical production manufacturing,and puts forward the prospect of digitizing methods and modern application of traditional materials.
