The Discussion On Aesthetics Of Ancient Chinese Ceramics Design

Ceramics Design should be the best example to show harmonious beauty in ancient Chinese arts and crafts. Its practicality and artistry, style, decoration, glaze, interest, aesthetics reflect the national characteristics and cultural theme, and created a new realm of ceramics aesthetics.About the beauty of porcelain, Lu Yu, who lived in Tang Dynasty, described in his masterpiece "The Classic Of Tea" that, Xing-ceramics is like "silver" as well as "snow", Yue-ceramics is like "jade" and "ice"; Lu Menggui, who lived in Tang Dynasty, described in his poem that, the color of the ceramics made by Yuezhou porcelain kiln is like green color of continuous mountain. A lot of discussions about porcelain are also found in the Arts and Crafts, the Chinese aesthetic culture and the study of ancient social life; but among above discussions, many are made from the perspective of appreciation, and a few are made from the perspective of aesthetic style and characteristics, as well as its modern significance, when being put into the specific natural environment, social environment and cultural environment. Therefore, based on the previous studies, my research mainly focused on ancient ceramics'aesthetic style and characteristics, as well as its modern significance, from the following factors- history, society, culture, and artistic aesthetics.Ancient ceramics meets the spirit, the material and the cultural needs of all walks of life. Both official and private porcelain kilns were looking for the best style meeting consumers'tastes. For example, in the five most famous kilns, the porcelains exclusively provided to imperial family were designed in the style of the ancients, which especially shows their nobleness and elegance. Linked with the market, the ceramics becomes a symbol and a ideal of culture at that time. The idea of serving people reflected by the ancient ceramics is much like the "people-oriented" spirit pursued by modern designs.More than having a characteristic of resembling jade and silver, the ancient porcelain is of a profound cultural meaning. This meaning is not only reflected in its social life, culture, convention and philosophy, but also reflected in the way it reflects. The themes are diverse in style, such as deep-minded, elegant, rational and natural style.To taste the beauty of ancient ceramics is to taste the makers'emotions, as well as the development of national psychology, spirit and characters. and other works of art, the vision to bring people can enjoy the highest standard senses.In this dissertation, the analysis and study are made detailedly in four parts, which are the development of ancient Chinese ceramic art, the aesthetic elements in ancient Chinese ceramics design, the culture influence on ancient Chinese ceramics design, and the modern value of ancient Chinese ceramics design. This dissertation summarizes the beauty of ancient ceramics reflected on shape, decoration and glazing, as well as the ancient ceramics'characteristics of interest and aesthetics. It also analyses the value of ancient ceramics reflected in modern society. Like other artworks, ancient ceramics takes satisfying people's eyes as its highest standard. The luster of ancient ceramics reflects lucidity, placidity and implication, which are close to aesthetic value of Chinese traditional culture and reflected"Harmony"in Chinese porcelain culture's aesthetic concepts.
