With the continuous evolution of digital processing and application,digital technology has begun to integrate into people’s production and life.Human society is gradually stepping into the situation of "digital survival" as described by Negroponte.NFT,non-Fungible Token,is widely known as non-homogeneous Token.It develops rapidly in the field of culture and art under the background of digitization,showing great influence and potential for art circulation.NFT based on block chain technology provides new solutions to the problems related to artwork in the circulation process by advantages of decentralization,traceability,non-homogeneity,tokenization and other characteristics.Because people’s understanding of NFT is still in its infancy,there are still many unexplored problems in practice and theory.In this paper,the core issues of NFT and art circulation are discussed in five chapters.The first chapter summarizes the interaction between art development,society and technology and the problems caused by it against the background of digital transformation.In chapter two,the development of NFT is sorted out,and the key characteristics of NFT are described and analyzed.The third chapter analyzes the role of NFT in the circulation of art according to the key characteristics of NFT and the current practice in the field of art.The fourth chapter expounds the limitations of NFT in today’s art field based on its practice.Chapter five tries to forecast the development prospect of NFT in culture and art based on the above analysis.In the evolution of human society,art is constantly sublating,and its innate shared attribute has not changed.NFT as a kind of decentralized application based on the block chain,promoted the circulation of digital art assets in the form of nonhomogeneity token the and helped use value and exchange value of art in the digital space to separate.Meanwhile,NFT also effectively promoted the value of art in people’s minds.At present,there are some shortcomings in the popularization and application of NFT related technology and cross-chain circulation.The consensus of various countries and platforms on NFT in a broader sense has not been reached,and relevant laws and regulations are yet to be clarified and improved.NFT is still a risk in circulation.Because the relevant technology is not mature,so there is the possibility of theft of certificates,counterfeit works.According to the research on NFT and art circulation,this paper believes that with the construction and improvement of the current digital ecology,people’s consensus on emerging art forms will be more and more extensive,and the value of emerging art is expected to be further enriched and enhanced.In the future,The significance of NFT will not be limited to the field of art,but expected to play an important role as a value carrier in the process of human innovation and development mode and expansion of living space.
