| “BoWu” is not only an evaluative concept,but also a practical behavior of observing and recording objects.In the development of the system of witchcraft history in the Pre-Qin Dynasty,the thought of “BoWu” gradually came into being,with the Wuguan in charge of impeachment in ancient times as the source.With the loss of Official Learning in the Shang and Zhou dynasties,the natural knowledge retained by officials sank into the people.The scholar bureaucrat class led by scholars inherited and developed these “BoWu” knowledge and “BoWu” thought,which are reflected in the works of various schools of thought.There are a large number of“BoWu” materials and phenomena in Zhuangzi,and its the thought of “BoWu” is representative among the pre-Qin scholars.The “BoWu” knowledge implied in Zhuangzi is mainly divided into three types.First,it is the “BoWu” knowledge produced by absorbing and integrating the existing natural knowledge from ancient times,including myths and legends,historical legends,historical geography and so on.Second,it is the “BoWu” knowledge created by observing and understanding nature and physiology,including the records of animals,plants and natural phenomena,as well as the description of human morphology,health preservation and senses.Third,it is the unique metaphorical“BoWu” knowledge in Zhuangzi.It is the product of the author’s philosophical thinking,mainly focusing on some abstract people’s names,place names and categories.The thought of “BoWu” in Zhuangzi has three distinct writing characteristics.First of all,there is a sense of classification and the centralized presentation of things in the book.These classification and aggregation phenomena follow the principles of relevance and progression.Secondly,in Zhuangzi,there is a characteristic of tour view writing,which collects and transmits “BoWu” knowledge in two ways: mind tour and object tour.Finally,the book also uses external thinking,which originated from the pre-Qin period;In Zhuangzi,the thought of “Fang Wai” has made new development,combined with "tour",and achieved a breakthrough in convention,space and aesthetics.There are two reasons for the thought of “BoWu” in Zhuangzi.The external causes are mainly Zhuangzi’s acceptance of other scholars’ the thought of “BoWu”,Zhuangzi’s cultural and geographical position,and the nature of teacher-student collaboration in Zhuangzi.Its internal causes include the vision of “BoWu” of“observing things by Taoism”,the positive and calm “BoWu” attitude accompanying“free travel”,and the inclusiveness of “three words” to “BoWu” materials. |
