| Chang Feng is a highly representative professional book critic in the history of modern Chinese literature and art.He began writing book reviews in 1932,and after1949 he focused on teaching,leaving him to write.Chang Feng Learn from both Chinese and Western,his book review articles have always been based on the text,judged on a real and specific basis,the keen artistic feelings,in the plain language of the eloquent expression,between the rationality of learning and the popularity to explore a very personal style of book review writing.However,its book reviews have not attracted the attention and attention that the academic community deserves,and the research results are difficult to match the achievements of their book reviews.This paper starts from Chang Feng’s academic relationship and travel,and strives to restore the historical appearance of Chang Feng’s book review creation.A systematic and comprehensive inquiry is made of Chang Feng’s book review style,book review characteristics and methods,as well as stylistic achievements and theoretical contributions,and the importance of his book review creation to the current book review and book review history writing is pointed out.The paper is divided into three chapters.The first chapter focuses on clarifying the overall style of Chang Feng’s book review,with a view to grasping the practice of Chang Feng’s book review as a whole.This section classifies Chang Feng’s book reviews according to the different genres of his criticism,focusing on the Chinese and foreign novels with the highest number of reviews,as well as poetry,drama,literary criticism and other works that he has commented on.Through Chang Feng’s travels,the interactive relationship between book review creation and modern media,he explores the unique significance of his book review creation in building a space for Beijing school literary activities.The second chapter is intended to explore the characteristics and methods of the Chang Feng’s book review.This part places Chang Feng’s book review in the historical context,analyzes the aesthetic dimension that Chang Feng’s book review and the Beijing school critics jointly adhere to by taking into account the critical concepts of other Beijing school critics in the same period,and places Chang Feng’s book review under the general framework of Beijing school criticism,and glimpses the characteristics of "book review is about form" of its practice.Then,through Chang Feng’s book review articles,he explored the flexible and diverse book review methods used by Chang Feng to write book reviews.The third chapter mainly discusses the stylistic achievements and theoretical contributions of Chang Feng’s book review.On the one hand,within the framework of The Beijing school criticism,the critical style of Chang Feng’s argumentative style is compared and analyzed,and on this basis,his personal book review style is summarized,and the causes of his book review style are explored.On the other hand,by combing through the "distance theory",the principle of "in" and "out" adhered to by Chang Feng’s book review writing is introduced,and the connection between this principle and the style of Chang Feng’s book review is further explored,and the reference effect of Chang Feng’s book review creation on the current book review writing is thus reflected.Chang Feng communicated between China and the West with his own criticism practice,and his book evaluation attitude was serious and his views were fair,which was unique among many book reviews at that time.His book reviews not only have a guiding effect on the author’s creation,but also can effectively guide readers to read,even today,can also provide new reference for the current systematic study of book review creation. |
