Zhu Chang was a literati painter at the end of Ming Dynasty and the beginning of Qing Dynasty.During 1650 to 1666,he created many outstanding works,his painting ideas and painting techniques were derived from the literati "interest" advocated by Huang Gongwang and Ni Zan,landscape painters of Yuan Dynasty.What’s more,he payed more attention to nature and nature.He tried hard to be innovative in composition and ink,and constructed a unique artistic language.The evolution process of his landscape painting art was clear.In his later years,he formed an outstanding artistic style,which was another innovation in the history of landscape painting.At the same time,Zhu Chang’s poetry was profound and his calligraphy was natural and interesting,and he made remarkable achievements.Through a large number of Chinese art history literature and materials,I find that there are few records about Zhu Chang,and contemporary calligraphers,painters and historians have not made any comments on him.After his death and before the Republic of China,there were only two collectors of the artist and historians who gave commented his paintings.In modern times,few historians began to pay attention to Zhu Chang,but they did not speak highly of him.such as Zhang Guobiao,who is Huangshan city artists association of vice chairman,commented on Zhu Chang just change Jian Jiang’s landscape painting slightly in the xin ’an painting’s history.And like the art’s historians of Chen Chuanxi reviewed "his painting is lack of Jian Jiang’s paintings of cool,grand and strict,clear and bright " in The landscape painting in China.Again,the Huizhou literature researchers of Guo Yin,Hu Chi,Yu Hong Li,and etc,commented on his panting is " typical style of Jian Jiang,but a little changed his pangting’s composition",in the Huizhou Culture pandect-xin ’an painting’s.Only recently,Ma Qilai,who is a researcher in the Anhui Provincial Museum,and the pen name of Xiao Lu,each published a article to extolling Zhu Chang’s artistic achievements.Zhu Chang’s paintings play a positive role in the author’s begnning of study.In addition,when I learned Zhu Chang’s paintings and research on his art style,I found that his artistic achievements were indeed extraordinary;at the same,I found that several historians’ review of his paintings did not accord with the fact,so I wanted to reconfirm his artistic achievements through my own efforts.On the basis of the predecessors,this paper is based on documentations research to makes a textual study on Zhu Chang’s life.In addition,this paper is based on comparative method to distinguish the artistic achievements of Zhu Chang and Jian Jiang,and then I can find respective point;the next,it also uses the knowledge of historical sociology to estimate the reasons why his artistic status has changed from "unobvious" to "depreciated".Finally,it is not difficult to find that his artistic achievements with status is mismatching in the history of Chinese painting.Finally,before this paper,the academic circle has not identified the truth and falsehood of Zhu Chang’s life,nor accurately deduced his artistic style and characteristics,nor has there been any relevant research on his artistic status.Therefore,this paper has innovative and corresponding artistic value and social value.
