Justice has been the value goal of human beings since ancient times. In different historical stages, justice is also given different theoretical connotations. The publication of Rawls’ Theory of Justice in 1971 set off a wave of British and American scholars studying the idea of justice. With the change of the main contradiction of our society in the new era,Fairness and justice, especially production justice and distribution justice, has become an important topic of common concern from the government officials and ordinary people. However, the current research on these normative issues in China’s academic circles is still focused on the theory of distributive justice represented by Rawls’ theory of justice, and there is a lack of research based on the dimension of justice of production, and few studies based on Marx’s theoretical position are found. In fact,Property-owning Democracy proposed by Rawls concerns the issue of production justice, and a normative view of justice is also implied in Marx’s classic text.Based on this, analyzing and comparing their ideas on justice from the normative dimensions of production justice and distributive justice will not only help us understand the connotation and common features of Marx’s and Rawls’ ideas on justice, but also help us advance and deepen our understanding of many issues of justice in real life,so as to build a new theory of justice in a new era and promote the realization of common prosperity. This paper adopts the three methods of literature research, comparative research and logic and history,to make a more systematic interpretation and comparison of the historical background, theoretical origin, and two important dimensions of Marx’s and Rawls’ justice thought, thus showing its theoretical and practical significance for justice research. This paper consists of four chapters: The introduction mainly explains the background and significance of this paper, the current situation of comparative studies on Marx’s and Rawls’ s ideas of production justice and distributive justice and the two ideas of justice at home and abroad, the main research contents of this paper, and indicates the research methods and innovations adopted in the paper. The first chapter mainly explains the background and theoretical origin of Marx and Rawls of justice, and lays the way for the two kinds of justice. The most central part in this paper is the second chapter, comprehensively analyzes the two dimensions of production justice and distribution justice of Marx and Rawls, and comprehensively expounds the connotations and characteristics of the two ideas of justice. The third chapter mainly expounds the similarities between Marx and Rawls justice thought, and then excavates the ideological value and realistic meaning of these two justice thoughts. |
