E-C Translation Report On MTPE Of The Global Governance Of Online Consumer Protection And E-Commerce Credit Construction

With the increasing international exchange and cooperation,the number and types of translation projects are also increasing,which poses a great challenge to the efficiency of translation.However,the comprehensibility and accuracy of current machine translation still need to be improved.The “machine translation + post-editing”mode can effectively balance translation quality and translation efficiency,so it is more and more widely used in the language service industry.In view of this,the author adopts the “machine translation + post-editing” model to complete this translation practice.The translation source text of this report is the white paper Online Consumer Protection and Global Governance of E-commerce Credit Construction published by the World Economic Forum.The author post-edited the machine translation output and found similarities in the errors in it.By analyzing and summarizing the errors in machine translation,the author classifies the errors from the lexical and syntactic levels.At the lexical level,machine translation errors include proper none mistranslated and polysemy mistranslated.At the syntactic level,errors in machine translation include logical confusion,improper phrase order and Omission.Following the functional equivalence theory and Translation services-Post-editing of machine translation output-Requirements(ISO 18587:2017),the author corrects the abovementioned types of errors and provides corresponding solutions.This report hopes to provide some reference for the translation project of the same type of text under the mode of "machine translation + post-editing",and at the same time to inspire the perfection of machine translation system.
