| As information and economic globalization advance by leaps and bounds,people remain within doors that can access information worldwide.The economy is the foundation of all social activities,which plays an indispensable role.Meanwhile,as a widespread use language in the world,E-C financial articles translation are becoming increasingly important and making an indispensable way for China to understand the world economic situation.The translator selected translation materials of financial articles in The Economist,which involve stock equity fund,world economy situation,the sharing economy,free trade and etc,in total 10,536 words.Guided by the Eco-translatology puts forward by Hu Gengshen,this report analyzes the financial articles translation methods from the method of the “three-dimensional” transformations,which includes linguistic dimension,cultural dimension and communicative dimension.This report analyzes the specific translation methods used in the translation process through specific examples.To be specific,linguistic dimension was divided into lexical level and syntactic level.Regarding lexical level,the translator emphasizes the word usage and part of speech that utilizes the translation methods like conversion and metonymy to realize transformation of adaption selection in linguistic dimension.At a syntactic level,the translator adapts linear translation and sentence conversion.When met compound sentences,the translator utilizes multiple translation methods to address compound sentences.From cultural dimension,the translator adapts four-character words,addition,domestication,and literal translation to supplement cultural background information,and make up for cultural difference.Considering the communicative dimension,addition and liberal translation can be used to address problems of information shortage and achieve the communicative intention.In a word,the translator aims to study the financial articles translation under the guidance of Eco-translatology.It is expected to improve the translation quality of financial texts,so as to ensure the target language readers accurately understand and provide a reference value for future research. |
