| Lonely Planet: Qinghai is a tourism publicity text with a wide audience and different levels of readers’ education.Therefore,in the process of translation,it is necessary to fully convey the meaning of the original text and try to make the translation easy to understand.Therefore,the author chooses functional equivalence theory as the guiding theory and combines domestication and foreignization translation strategies and relevant translation techniques to carry out translation practice.In view of the general tourism words,culture-loaded words and Chinese four character words in the original text,the author adopts literal translation,liberal translation,annotation on the basis of ensuring the accurate transmission of the source text information,so as to achieve the lexical equivalence between the translation and the source text as much as possible.Aiming at the differences in word order and voice between Chinese and English,as well as the redundancy and loss of sentence meaning,the translation techniques of sentence structure recombination,voice conversion,addition and omission are used to achieve syntactic equivalence.At the discourse level against the informal language expressions the author uses the transformation of translation techniques,and by adding the conjunction to achieve the effect of discourse coherence.As for the rhetoric in the source text,the author adopts foreignization strategy,try to keep the style of the original in translation.The author selected some chapters of Lonely Planet: Qinghai as the source text of the translation task,hoping to draw more and more people’s attention to Qinghai’s tourism culture and resources,and put forward specific strategies and techniques suitable for the translation of tourist text,hoping to provide reference for the translation of works with the same theme. |
