In the background of digital era,the development of digital culture industry not only can effectively enhance the national cultural soft power and cultural self-confidence,but also its high economic benefits are one of the core boosts to promote the steady growth of national economy.In recent years,China has continued to enhance the support and policy guidance for the digital culture industry,while paying great attention to promoting the depth of innovation of advanced technology and vigorously enhancing the competitiveness of the digital culture industry.Therefore,the evaluation and difference analysis of the competitiveness of China’s provincial digital culture industry can help to deeply cognize the development pattern and development space of China’s provincial digital culture industry.Firstly,this paper defines the concepts of digital culture industry and digital culture industry competitiveness,introduces the theoretical bases such as diamond model theory,institutional innovation theory and technological innovation theory,and describes the current situation of China’s digital culture industry development from two levels of industrial policy and segmented industries;secondly,this paper follows the relevant principles to design a set of digital culture industry competitiveness evaluation index system,collects data and uses Finally,based on the evaluation results,this paper analyzes the differences between the competitiveness of digital culture industry in the three regions of east,central and west of China from the perspective of comprehensive competitiveness and public factors and proposes specific measures for improvement.The empirical results of this paper show that 30 provinces can be divided into four categories according to the strength of China’s digital culture industry competitiveness,and the first category of regions with strong competitiveness in digital culture industry have higher scores in innovation scale factor,market demand factor and policy enterprise factor,especially the innovation scale factor contributes nearly half of the overall competitiveness.From the perspective of geographical regions,the competitiveness of China’s digital culture industry presents a development situation of "strong in the east,weak in the west and average in the middle".Therefore,the eastern region needs to vigorously promote the high-level development of digital culture industry and efficiently implement the strategy of "going out";the central region needs to vigorously improve the technological innovation ability and expand the scale of industry,and take "the rise of central China" as the development strategy;the western region needs to The western region needs to further strengthen the construction of digital culture industry infrastructure,adopt a "government-led approach" development strategy,and reasonably develop and utilize innovative technologies to further enhance its competitiveness.
