Transformation Of Guangxi Zhuang Brocade Patterns And Its Innovative Practice

The Zhuang brocade is the only minority brocade among the four famous brocades in China,with its regular composition,colourful and strong visual effects,abstract and vivid patterns,strong Zhuang history and culture and rugged ethnic art style,and is a cultural treasure of the Zhuang people.The Zhuang brocade is called "kjapb(cover)faz(sky)" in the Zhuang language of the Baise region of Guangxi,which can be translated as "quilt of the sky",showing the importance of the Zhuang brocade in the hearts of the Zhuang people.On 20 May 2006,the Zhuang brocade weaving technique was included in the first batch of the national intangible cultural heritage list,and in 2017,the State Council issued the Revitalisation Plan for Chinese Traditional Crafts.In such a new era,how Zhuang brocade patterns can be better protected,inherited and developed is the concern of this paper.As a unique ethnic cultural symbol,Zhuang brocade has an irreplaceable role in the lives of the local Zhuang people and is an important expression of the identity of the local Zhuang ethnic group.With the development of society,changes in the living environment and the mutual influence of different ethnic cultures,Zhuang brocade patterns have seen new changes and even suffered serious impacts.In recent years,Zhuang brocade patterns have been used in different art carriers,mostly to explore the practicality of Zhuang brocade patterns,but the traditional Zhuang brocade pattern art as a cultural symbol should have a deeper meaning.At present,there are few academic works on Zhuang brocade in China,lacking a complete,systematic and all-round study;in addition,there is a lack of creativity in innovative design,which cannot meet the aesthetic needs of contemporary people.The article takes Zhuang brocade patterns as the research object,analyses the value and cultural connotation of Zhuang brocade patterns from the three aspects of pattern classification,composition and colour style,explains the current situation of the application of Zhuang brocade patterns,and combines the results of the questionnaire survey,so as to carry out the redesign and innovative design practice of Zhuang brocade patterns,with the intention of broadening its application area,increasing the popularity of Zhuang brocade and promoting the beauty of Zhuang brocade art,so as to protect and inherit the Zhuang brocade.The aim is to broaden the application of Zhuang brocade,enhance its popularity and promote the beauty of Zhuang brocade art,so as to protect and inherit Zhuang brocade.
