| As an important literary activity,the compilation of anthologies implies multiple purposes such as work collection,literary criticism,and value guidance,and is an essential part of the canonization of works and trends of thought.The historical process of contemporary literature is promoting the construction and development of contemporary "selected studies".The study of the differences in selected texts,the similarities and differences in the positions of selected scholars,and the reasons behind the generation of selected texts is an indispensable part of the disciplinary construction of contemporary Chinese literature.This thesis takes four selected avant-garde novels with the greatest influence as the research object,mainly including "The New Novel in 1985"(edited by Wu Liang and Cheng Depei,1986 edition),"Selected Chinese Novels with New Trends"(edited by Cheng Yongxin,1989 edition),"Chinese Avant-garde Novels"(edited by Zhu Wei,1990edition),and "Selected Chinese Avant-garde Novels"(edited by Chen Xiaoming,1993edition).This thesis conducts a diachronic review of the four selected avant-garde novels,a synchronic comparison,and a discussion of statistics and dispersion in the overall dimension in order to reproduce the canonization process of avant-garde novels in the field of selected novels.First of all,by sorting out the changing process of the naming of "avantgarde novels" in the field of anthology,we can explore the changing process of the naming of avantgarde novels from "trendy novels" to "avantgarde novels" from 1985 to 1993 and the discourse system behind it.Secondly,during this period,the avant-garde novel selectors had the characteristics of enhanced subjectivity and obvious temporal and spatial anxiety.A comparative study of the similarities and differences in editing strategies between "editor" selectors such as Cheng Yongxin and Zhu Wei and "critic" selectors such as Wu Liang,Cheng Depei,and Chen Xiaoming provides us with a reliable historical path to observe the generation and development process of selected avant-garde novels.Thirdly,by comparing the selected avantgarde novels with contemporary recognized literary history,we can see how avantgarde novelists and works achieve the confirmation of canonization,and some of these deviations and details have special value to explore.The selection of the works of three pioneer writers,Su Tong,Ma Yuan,and Yu Hua,is extremely special and representative.Su Tong’s "A Group of Wives and Concubines" is the only avant-garde novel repeatedly selected in different editions.Yu Hua is one of the most popular avant-garde writers selected,while Ma Yuan,a leading avant-garde figure,is rarely selected.In the analysis of these issues,some contradictions and conflicts in the history of literature have been explored and explored,presenting a historical clue to the development of avant-garde novels.Finally,the selection of avant-garde novels is not only a recognized way of literary criticism,but also a literary field in which various elements such as writers,selectors,critics,and editors interact.Around the anthology of avant-garde novels,editors and critics have their own literary criticism attitudes,and different literary criticism attitudes are inextricably linked to the practical results of anthology compilation.In the analysis of the scene of literary criticism around the anthology,we can find the development trajectory of literary criticism of avant-garde novels at the beginning of their rise and after their prosperity,and explore the rich connotations behind history.The author attempts to explore the cultural pulse of the era in the 1980 s and 1990 s through the anthology,a literary historical material that brings together the common literary ideas of critics and writers,to find valuable historical details in the anthology,to present the compilation process of the anthology and the literary criticism space of the anthology,and to rediscover the development and canonization process of avant-garde novels.At the same time,it fills the gap in the criticism of selected avant-garde novels in the history of contemporary literature,enriches and perfects the history of contemporary literature,and promotes the historization process of contemporary literature. |
