With the increasing number of Cambodian Chinese learners,there are often various kinds of errors in the process of learning Chinese,among which greeting errors are a common phenomenon among Cambodian learners.In this research,we use a targeted questionnaire to investigate the biases in the use of Chinese greetings by Cambodian learners,try to reflect the problem visually by using various view methods,summarize the causes,and propose corresponding countermeasures.This research classifies Chinese greetings into four major types,namely exclamatory greetings,questioning greetings,mutual greetings and foreign greetings.According to the results of the survey,Cambodian learners have some errors in the acquisition of greetings,and the highest error rate is in the compliment category of exclamatory greetings,the humor category of questioning greetings,the name category and generic category of greetings,and the time category of foreign greetings.The incidence of the five categories of exclamatory greetings,knowing and caring greetings,status greetings,and simple greetings is medium,and the incidence of exclamatory greetings and kinship greetings is the lowest.The main reasons for Cambodian Chinese learners’ greeting errors are the cultural differences between China and Cambodia,the preparation of teaching materials,the teachers’ teaching methods and the students’ learning strategies.After analyzing the results of the questionnaire and drawing relevant conclusions,this research proposes some suggestions to correct the greeting errors of Cambodian Chinese learners,including reducing the negative cultural transfer of the native language,improving the writing of teaching materials,improving teaching methods and changing learning strategies,in order to provide useful references for the development of international Chinese teaching in Cambodia. |
