Study Of The Shandong Provincial Women’s National Salvation Federation During The War Of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression

After the outbreak of the Total War of Resistance,the Chinese Communist Party,in order to mobilize all the anti-war forces in the country to resist the Japanese invasion,called for the establishment of the broadest anti-Japanese national united front,which inevitably included the broad masses of women.The Shandong Women’s Anti-Japanese Salvation Federation was a mass organization of women of all ethnic groups,classes,parties and ages,established under the leadership of the CPC.Its establishment not only marked that the women’s anti-Japanese salvation movement in the anti-Japanese base areas of Shandong had a unified leading body,but also gave a great impetus to the establishment of the anti-Japanese salvation united front in the domestic women’s circles.It was both an inevitable product of the changes in women’s policies since the founding of the Communist Party of China and a necessary path for the Party to lead women to victory and liberation under the requirements of the times.After the establishment of the Shandong Women’s Salvation Federation,it actively mobilized and organized the women in the base area to participate in anti-Japanese salvation and base area construction.A sound organizational structure and working system provided an important guarantee for the smooth implementation of the work of the Women’s Salvation Association.The Women’s Salvation Association mobilized women to participate in production,so that women gradually gained economic independence;encouraged women to participate in politics,so that women had the opportunity to participate in politics on an equal footing with men;carried out cultural education for women to improve their cultural level;and carried out work on women’s foot release and reform of old marriage customs,so as to reduce the feudal bondage of women.Under the leadership of the Shandong Women’s Salvation Federation,women not only fought on the front line to kill the enemy,but also provided logistical support for the soldiers,and they made indelible contributions to the victory of the war against Japan.The United Women’s Salvation Association of Shandong Province was not only an important part of the anti-Japanese national united front,but also an important bridge between the Chinese Communist Party and the women’s masses in the base areas.Under the leadership of the Women’s Salvation Association,the masses of women contributed to the liberation of the nation while promoting their own liberation.However,in the context of the times,the work of the Women’s Rescue Committee inevitably suffered from formalism,wartime and classism.Women’s emancipation is a long process,and today,as women’s issues are diversified,complicated,and invisible,women workers should be adept at identifying women’s issues in society,enlightening women’s minds,improving women’s quality,and gradually guiding women to become leaders of the women’s liberation movement.At the same time,contemporary women are required to work hard to achieve the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation in addition to improving their own quality in an all-round way.
