A Study On Variants Of Epitaphs In Song Dynasty

This paper takes the variant characters of regular script in the Epitaph of Song Dynasty compiled by Guo Maoyu and Liu Jibao as the research object.Guided by the broad definition of variant characters and the theory of Chinese character configuration,all variant characters are extracted from nearly 50000 characters in 80 selected epitaphs,and arranged according to the order of the radical of Shuowenjiezi to make the variant character compilation of the epitaph of Song Dynasty.On the basis of character compilation,the variant characters are divided into different writing and different characters to explore the characteristics of the variant characters in the epitaph of the Song Dynasty.This paper is divided into five parts,the basic contents are:The first part is the introduction,which introduces the value and significance of the research,summarizes the existing research results of the inscription regular script variant characters,and introduces the research content of this paper.The second part describes the heterogeneous characters in the epitaphs of the Song Dynasty,which are mainly divided into two categories: different configuration patterns and different components with the same configuration patterns.The variant characters with the same configuration mode can be divided into four categories: the same word is a combination of meaning,the same word is a combination of form and meaning,the same word is a combination of meaning and sound,the same word is a combination of meaning and sound,and the same word is a combination of meaning and sound.Heterogeneous characters with different configuration modes include different semantic phonetic compound characters and semantic compound characters,and different semantic phonetic compound characters and full-featured zero compound characters.The third part is the classification description of the different writing in the Song Dynasty epitaph,which is divided into two character groups and three character and above groups.The different writing of two character groups includes the different writing at the stroke level,the component level and the whole character level.The types of different writing groups with three or more characters are more complex.The paper analyzes and describes the differences between these characters one by one.Among all the variant characters in the epitaphs of the Song Dynasty,only one type of variant writing represents about three quarters of the total,and the representative characters of the variant writing in the epitaphs of the Song Dynasty are consistent with the regular characters in Lei Pian,accounting for more than half of the total.The fourth part mainly summarizes the characteristics of the variant characters in the epitaph of the Song Dynasty from two aspects.The first aspect is to conclude the characteristics of the variant characters in the epitaph of the Song Dynasty based on the materials themselves: the variant characters are more than the variant characters,and the variant characters contain rich types,the number of members in the same variant character group is different,and the vast majority of the variant character groups have a representative character.The second aspect is to summarize the characteristics of the variant characters in the epitaphs of the Song Dynasty by comparing the epitaphs of the Song Dynasty with the Lei Pian: the representative characters of most variant character groups in the epitaphs of the Song Dynasty are consistent with the formal characters in the Lei Pian,while the non representative characters are different from the formal characters in the Lei Pian or the same with the variant characters in the Lei Pian,which reflects that the use of the characters in the epitaphs of the Song Dynasty is relatively standardized.The fifth part is the conclusion,which mainly summarizes the whole article.
