The synonym discrimination part of intermediate and advanced Chinese textbooks is an important way for learners to focus on solving synonym discrimination problems,master synonym discrimination methods,and expand vocabulary knowledge reserves.The synonym discrimination part of the current Chinese textbooks has become the focus of academic discussion in recent years due to the non-standard selection and improper interpretation.’Modern Chinese Advanced Course ’ is a medium and advanced Chinese textbook commonly used by domestic universities in training undergraduate students.At present,there are few special studies on the synonym discrimination part of this textbook.This paper takes the synonym discrimination part of ’ Modern Chinese Advanced Course ’ as the research object,adopts literature research method,statistical analysis method,corpus research method,error analysis method and questionnaire survey method,combs the advantages and problems of the synonym discrimination part of the textbook from two aspects of selection and discrimination link setting,and puts forward the optimization strategy of synonym compilation for the problem.First of all,using statistical analysis method,this paper combs the selection of synonyms in ’ Modern Chinese Advanced Course ’ from three aspects : selection source,difficulty level and part of speech setting.Combined with the error distribution of 77 groups of synonyms in HSK dynamic composition corpus,the rationality of synonym selection in teaching materials is deeply explored.Secondly,it analyzes the setting of synonym discrimination in ’ Modern Chinese Advanced Course’ from five aspects : discrimination angle,interpretation method,interpretation language,example sentence setting and exercise arrangement.On this basis,the compilation problems of synonym discrimination in textbooks are summarized.Thirdly,combined with the questionnaire,the article takes the 2019 undergraduate international students of Lanzhou University who have used the ’ Modern Chinese Advanced Course ’ as the research object,and distributes 90 questionnaires to understand the basic views and actual needs of international students on the synonym discrimination part of the textbook.The results of the questionnaire survey confirm the compilation of the synonym discrimination part of ’ Modern Chinese Advanced Course ’,and provide an optimized idea for solving the problem of synonym compilation in textbooks.Finally,on the basis of discussing the causes of the problems,this paper tries to put forward the principles of compiling the synonym discrimination part of intermediate and advanced Chinese textbooks,that is,there is a synonym relationship between the words before and after,the object of discrimination is consistent with the positioning of the textbook,the important role of the error corpus is played,the discrimination of word meaning is equal to the explanation of usage,the flexibility and pertinence of the discrimination method,the accuracy and simplicity of the interpretation language,the typicality and appropriateness of the example sentence setting,and the hierarchy and richness of the exercise arrangement.Under the guidance of this principle,the specific optimization strategy of the synonym discrimination part of ’ Modern Chinese Advanced Course ’ is proposed.
