A Report On The C-E Translation Of Development Index Report On China’s Aviation Logistics Hubs(2020-2021)(Chapters 1-2)

Aviation logistics hubs play a fundamental role in the development of aviation economy.With the continuous development of China’s aviation logistics hubs,the demand for translation of relevant documents,papers and books are gradually increasing.The translation material of the Report is selected from the first and second chapters of Development Index Report on China’s Aviation Logistics Hubs(2020-2021).The book was written by Professors Jin Zhen and Song Zhigang and their research team from Zhengzhou University of Aeronautics.Based on the practice of aviation logistics hubs in various places,this book constructs a scientific index system for the development of aviation logistics hubs.The report comprehensively evaluates the aviation logistics competitiveness of 23 airport-type national logistics hub cities,striving to show the development status of each aviation logistics hub,comprehensively analyzing the shortcomings and problems faced by the development of aviation logistics hubs,and puts forward development suggestions.It is an important research achievement of Aviation Economic Development Henan Collaborative Innovation Center.Under the guidance of Newmark’s communicative translation theory,this translation practice report focuses on the analysis of difficulties and solutions encountered in translation practice from lexical,syntactic and textual levels.At the lexical level,according to the characteristics of the translation text,translation methods such as nominalization of verbs can be used for translation;At the syntactic level,the translator puts forward some methods to deal with non-subject sentences,such as changing active sentences into passive sentences,using formal subjects and flexibly using multiple clauses,so as to turn dynamic into static;At the textual level,it is proposed that the translation of such texts should pay special attention to cohesion and coherence.The translator suggests adding conjunctions or pronouns appropriately and using the same sentence patterns or expressions to enhance the coherence and consistency of the text.The translator believes that the translation of such texts should be combined with the focus of communicative translation,that is,centering on the feelings of the target language readers and paying attention to the expression effect of the target language,so that the target language readers can get the same feelings as the source language readers.The strategies and methods of communicative translation can make the source text information better spread,so as to achieve the goal of translation.This translation practice report adopts communicative translation theory to analyze the Chinese-English translation process of typical information types,summarizing the key points and difficulties in the translation process,and put forward corresponding solutions.The report is intented to have a certain reference value for the stylistic analysis and translation of such aviation economic texts,and expected to have a certain role in promoting the exchange of aviation logistics information at home and abroad.
