The integration of Chinese into national education systems is an important feature of the new stage of international Chinese education.According to the latest report,Chinese is taught in more than 180 countries and regions,81 countries have incorporated Chinese into their national education systems,and more and more countries are gradually integrating Chinese into their national systems,including Georgia.In 2019,the Georgian government included the teaching of Chinese in the national education system,and Chinese officially has the legal status of a second foreign language.This thesis will take the incorporation of Chinese into the national education system of Georgia as the research object,analyze the current situation,characteristics and motivations of the incorporation of Chinese into the national education system of Georgia,explore the challenges faced by the incorporation of Chinese into the national education system of Georgia and put forward relevant strategies.This paper argues that Georgia should optimize the Chinese teaching system,cultivate excellent Chinese teachers to increase the number of Chinese teachers,make full use of modern technology and the auxiliary power of Confucius Institutes to improve the teaching quality,and develop Chinese teaching to the central cities of Georgia and the surrounding areas to promote the development of Chinese teaching in Georgia.The introduction includes the research background,research purpose and significance,and research methods.The first chapter is literature review.This chapter will sort out the integration of Chinese into the overseas national education system and the teaching of Chinese in the advanced and basic stages after the integration of Chinese into the system in Georgia,as well as the research on Chinese teaching in Confucius Institutes.In my opinion,there are few literature on the incorporation of Chinese into the national education system of Georgia at present,and it is very necessary to study this part.The second chapter is about the present situation and characteristics of the Chinese language in Georgia’s national education system.It includes the situation of Georgia’s national education system,foreign language education,the current situation of Chinese being incorporated into Georgia’s national education system and the characteristics of Chinese being incorporated into Georgia’s national education system.The current situation of Chinese inclusion in Georgia’s national education system can be summarized as "full inclusion","high first and then low",and "inclusion in the curriculum system".The third chapter is the motivation factors for Chinese to be incorporated into Georgian national education system.On the one hand,the pushing factor of China includes policy formulation and policy implementation;on the other hand,the pulling factor of Georgia includes the strategic cooperative relationship between China and Georgia,the cultural and educational exchanges between China and Georgia,the mutually beneficial economic and trade cooperation between China and Georgia,and Georgia’s support for the Chinese language policy.This thesis believes that the integration of Chinese into Georgian national education system is the result of the interaction between China and Georgia.Chapter four is about the challenges faced by the integration of Chinese into the national education system of Georgia,including the lack of uniform standards in Chinese teaching,the number of local Chinese teachers in Georgia,the uneven distribution of Chinese teaching resources and the challenges of the concentration of Chinese teaching areas.This thesis believes that only by understanding the challenges faced by the incorporation of Chinese into Georgia’s national education system can we better promote the incorporation of Chinese into Georgia’s national education system.Chapter five is about the relevant and feasible strategies for the integration of Chinese into Georgia’s national education system.This thesis proposes relevant strategies for Chinese teaching in Georgia,including optimizing the Chinese teaching system,developing "Chinese +vocational education",developing online resources,giving full play to the auxiliary role of Confucius Institutes and promoting the development of Chinese teaching in neighboring areas.The conclusion summarizes the research conclusions,innovations,shortcomings and prospects for Chinese teaching in Georgia. |
