A Study On Mandarin Primer From The Perspective Of International Chinese Education

Mandarin Primer,the subject of this paper,is a spoken Chinese textbook edited by Mr.Yuen Ren Chao,which occupies an important position in the history of Chinese teaching in North America.Starting with the choreography and characteristics of Mandarin Primer,this paper sorted out the pronunciation,grammar and text parts of the book,and explored the characteristics of Mandarin Primer in content choreography and teaching methods through systematic analysis,which not only enriched the research achievements in the history of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.It also provides reference and guidance for the compilation of modern international Chinese textbooks.The first chapter is the introduction,explaining the significance of the topic,research ideas and methods,and investigating and sorting out the research status from the two aspects of early Chinese education in the United States and Yuen Ren Chao’s Chinese teaching.The second chapter is an overview of Mandarin Primer.Starting from the background of the book,it introduces and summarizes the version,teaching object and teaching method of the textbook,sorts out the content of the textbook,and summarizes the characteristics of the format.The three chapter is a phonetic analysis of Mandarin Primer.It analyzes pronunciation,rhyme,tone and phonetic teaching,compares it with other representative phonetic schemes,and summarizes the characteristics of phonetic arrangement for Mandarin Primer.At the same time,by integrating the characteristics of phonetic arrangement,combined with phonetic requirements in teaching materials and the teaching of difficult syllables,the phonetic teaching of Mandarin Primer was analyzed.The four chapter is a grammar and vocabulary analysis of Mandarin Primer.It classifies the words in Mandarin Primer statistically,and examines the characteristics of lexical arrangement in terms of the distribution proportion of various words and the adaptability of words.Special grammar points were selected from the perspectives of composition,sentence pattern and sentence type to analyze the syntactic part of Mandarin Primer,and summarize the content and characteristics of the grammar part of Mandarin Primer.The five chapter is fan analysis of the text of Mandarin Primer from three perspectives:text content,practice design and text teaching method.The content of the text includes the statistical classification of the topic,content and genre of the text,and analyzes the rationality and scientificity of the text compilation.The characteristics of Mandarin Primer exercises are summarized and four suggestions are obtained.Finally,the Mandarin Primer text teaching method is introduced in detail.The six chapter is the enlightenment of Mandarin Primer on international Chinese education,which summarizes from three perspectives: compilation of international Chinese textbooks,suggestions for Chinese learners and teaching ideas in Mandarin Primer,providing references for the development of international Chinese education.
