A Study Of The Parallel Compound Verbs In "Xuanguai Lu"

In the field of Chinese language and philology,the study of vocabulary in the Middle Ages,especially in the Tang Dynasty,has always been a hot topic.However,there is still a gap in the study of specialized books and their internal word categories.Popular classics have been carefully studied by many people,and some neglected classics also contain many noteworthy language phenomena.Xuan Guai Lu "is a collection of legendary novels written by Niu Seng Ru of the Tang Dynasty.It was written in the Middle Tang Dynasty and is an important language material reflecting the vocabulary of Middle Tang and even ancient Chinese.There have been many studies on its vocabulary in the academic community,but research on a special subcategory of words-coordinate compound verbs-within" Xuan Guai Lu "has not yet been refined.This article mainly conducts an exhaustive study on the coordinate compound verbs in "Xuanguai Lu",lists all relevant entries for analysis,and explores the formation of coordinate compound verbs.Analyze the meaning of coordinate compound verbs and explore the grammaticalization and other related grammaticalization phenomena in the "Xuanguailou" coordinate compound verbs.In order to make the research more accurate and credible,this article adopts an exhaustive approach to research,including all the coordinate compound verbs in "Xuanguailu",which are classified and listed at the beginning of Chapter 2 of this article.In order to facilitate the study of the proportion and position of parallel compound verbs in the entire "Xuanguai Lu" verb system,the meanings of monosyllabic,diphthonic,and polysyllabic verbs in the "Xuanguai Lu" will also be fully included,and a list of verb meanings will be attached in the appendix.The full text is divided into four chapters,mainly including:The first chapter is an introduction,summarizing the research literature on "Xuanguailu",explaining its important position in language research,its relationship with "Continuation of Xuanguailu",and the advantages of the selected Zhonghua Book Company.At the same time,define the coordinate compound verbs,provide an overall perception of the overview of coordinate compound verbs in "Xuanguailou",and explain the method of organizing vocabulary examples in this article.Chapter 2 conducts a semantic analysis of coordinate compound verbs,clarifying their four major types of synonymous morphemes,synonymous morphemes,related morphemes,and antonym morphemes,and analyzing and interpreting the key entries under each classification.Chapter 3 conducts a grammatical analysis of coordinate compound verbs,starting from both internal and external aspects,exploring the internal word formation and several grammatical structures of coordinate compound verbs,and tracing the grammatical structure of the origin of coordinate compound verbs;In addition,there are many grammaticalization phenomena related to coordinate compound verbs in the "Xuanguai Lu".The conclusion section briefly explains the reasons for the emergence of coordinate compound verbs,including the evolution laws of Chinese language in the Middle Ages,as well as some phonetic factors.
