A Study On The Kinship Terms Of Yinuo Dialect In Yi Language

Kinship terms is one of the common,stable part of the vocabulary system,which reflects the different family form and kinship of all ethnic groups in different historical period via its stable structure,and reveal the rules of development of all ethnic groups social formation,marriage system and ideology culture,so is the Yi.The predecessor studied the Kinship term of Yi language by analyzing the point of anthropology,ethnology,sociology etc.Almost no scholar had a deeper exploration on the kinship terms of Yinuo dialect in Yi language from the linguistic point of view.In a conclusion,this article will have a systematically study by taking the kinship terms of Yinuo dialect in Yi language as the research object and on the basis of previous research result,focusing on the linguistic theory and also combined the anthropology,sociology,ethnologyhaving etc.This article can be divided into five parts.The first part is introduction,mainly introducing the profile of the background,material resource,research method and research objection.The second part thoroughly illustrates the kinship terms of Yinuo dialect in Yi language.On the one hand,the article analyzes the kinship terms by dividing it into blood relation,marriage relation and spouse and concludes its characteristics.On the other hand,it does sememe analysis by dividing the kinship terms of Yinuo dialect in Yi language into five semantic field basic on the theory of structuralist semantics,and summarize the characteristics of sememe system,semantic composition and its semantic field.The third part,it analyzes the pragmatic feature and cultural connotation of kinship terms of Yinuo dialect in Yi language.Firstly,analyzing it from back-appellation and face-appellation,seniority terms,follow the children to address others,Call someone after your husband or wife,explanatory kinship terms.Secondly,based on the development trend of kinship terms,this paper analyzes its generalization characteristics.Thirdly,summarized its form according to Murdoch’s taxonomy of kinship terminology,and at last,exploring the underlying cultural connotation.On the fourth part,it makes internal and external comparisons between the kinship terms of Yinuo dialect and other language’s.On the one aspect,it compares from word-building and pragmatic level,and to further understand the different characteristics of different local language in a dialect.On the other aspect,it compares the kinship terms of Yinuo dialect with Han language through two aspects,the pragmatic level and the influence of the social development and language contact,to further know the specification use of those two language and also explore the cultural background and social system of different ethnic groups.The last part concludes the article and and points out the deficiences.
