Research On The Creation Ideas And Techniques Of Modern Chinese Art Songs

The modern Chinese art song is an important musical art genre of the western music and the east,and is one of the beginning signs of professional music creation in China.The art songs composed by the first professional composers in China in modern times followed the trend of the times and deeply influenced the musicians of later generations with their exquisite music composition techniques and humanistic composition concepts.Since their creation,the two art songs "The East of the Great River" and "I Live at the Head of the Yangtze River" have been praised by major composers and sung by singers at home and abroad,and are still the most popular pieces on the music stage today.As a music theorist,composer,and poet,and as a researcher of language,Lord Qing has his own unique insights in art song composition,so the exploration of his composition philosophy and techniques is of great practical significance for art song music composition.In this paper,we will explore Lord Qing’s artistic creation concept and the use of his two art song composition techniques from the perspective of practical creation of Chinese art songs.It is divided into four parts in total.Part I: Briefly describes the germination and development of art songs in modern China,as well as the characteristics and creative features of this musical art genre.The second part: introduces the background of art song composition and the life of the author,and explores his view on the creation of music,poetry and the combination of words and songs.The concept guides the technique,and the technique serves the concept to pave the way for the technical analysis later on.Part III: Analyze the relationship between song structure and lyric structure and the clever use of lyric-song combination in these two art songs.Part IV: Exploration of the compositional techniques used by Qingmei in these two art songs and the relationship between the musical material for piano accompaniment and the main melody.It is hoped that this article will provide some practical implications for future Chinese art song compositions.
