Research On Digital Illustration Design Based On Chinese Modern Chromatic Woodcut Language

Since ancient times,prints and illustrations have had an inseparable relationship.Book illustrations in ancient China were all drawn from woodcut prints.In modern times,modern Chinese woodcut prints,especially Chinese modern color woodcut prints,have gradually formed a style language with a unique form of beauty after experiencing the development of tortuous times.There are also many modern books and newspapers that use color woodcut prints Illustrator illustration.In the contemporary era of more diversified artistic expressions,the styles and application fields of illustrations are also more diverse,but the status of woodcut prints is gradually declining,especially the style and language of modern Chinese color woodcut prints are also gradually dissipating with the turn of contemporary art.The development of technology has made digital illustrations that are more communicative and efficient to flourish.Digital illustrations can imitate different styles of painting languages,which makes it possible for modern Chinese color woodcut prints to create new connotations.Therefore,this project applies the language of modern Chinese chromatic woodcut prints to digital illustration design,trying to endow traditional art with new artistic connotations and expand new ideas for contemporary illustration design.This article starts from the study of Chinese modern color woodcut prints,explores its aesthetic evolution and the development of the times,and analyzes its different visual art languages and their application in illustrations through relevant cases.Then it expounds the characteristics of digital illustration and its contemporary application fields.After analyzing the relevant works of digital illustration and woodcut printmaking,the possibility of their combination is summarized,so as to explore the digital illustration creation and design ideas of modern Chinese color woodcut printmaking language.Finally,the result of the design is expressed from the illustration practice of "Night Search",and the creation is summarized and reflected.
