| Dunhuang frescoes are a treasure of Chinese art,encompassing the evolution of Buddhist art from the Sixteen Kingdoms to the Song Dynasty,with a deep historical and cultural heritage.In recent years,the country has made great efforts to promote Dunhuang culture by combining Dunhuang frescoes with new art forms such as digital illustration,video games and short videos,thereby promoting the development of cultural industries.As time goes on,digital illustration is gradually being used in all aspects of public life,including game promotion,advertising packaging,and book illustration.The most prominent application of Dunhuang frescoes in digital illustration is the digital illustration with Dunhuang as the theme.By applying Dunhuang fresco elements,the illustrator is able to let the viewer directly experience the charm of Dunhuang art.By combining the advantages of digital illustration in terms of creation and dissemination with the unique artistic charm of Dunhuang murals,we seek a new way to promote the innovation and development of digital illustration and to pass on and promote Dunhuang art.This paper focuses on the visual elements of Dunhuang frescoes and digital illustration,and examines the application of Dunhuang fresco visual elements in digital illustration through the analysis of Dunhuang-based digital illustration works.In the first part,we analyze the five colors of Dunhuang frescoes and their color assignments,as well as how the colors influenced by Confucianism,Buddhism,and Taoism are used in Dunhuang-based digital illustrations,The third part examines the use of digital brushes to recreate the effect of Dunhuang gilding techniques and the imitation of Dunhuang fresco texture in digital illustrations based on Dunhuang;the fourth part examines the significance of the use of Dunhuang fresco visual elements in digital illustrations.This project uses literature research,case study research,and qualitative research methods to sort out and summarize books and literature on the topic,to gain an in-depth understanding of the theoretical knowledge and background related to Dunhuang mural painting and digital illustration,and to solidify the theoretical foundation;to view a large number of works and conduct research on relevant cases to demonstrate the feasibility of applying visual elements of Dunhuang mural painting in digital illustration;to conduct in-depth research on Dunhuang mural painting and digital illustration,and to elaborate on the feasibility of applying visual elements of Dunhuang mural painting in digital illustration.In-depth study of Dunhuang frescoes and digital illustration,and elaboration of the rules of applying visual elements of Dunhuang frescoes in digital illustration. |
