Chaozhou woodcarving,as one of the four major woodcarving schools in China and the first batch of intangible cultural heritage in China,is a folk carving art widely circulated in the Chaoshan region of Guangdong.Mainly used in architectural decoration,sacrificial artifacts,furniture supplies,and other places,it has unique artistic characteristics and aesthetic value.Chaozhou woodcarving not only reflects the economic level,cultural background,social ideology,aesthetic taste,etc.of the Chaozhou region,but also embodies the love of Chaozhou people for life.But now Chaozhou woodcarving faces problems such as an aging audience,insufficient promotion and innovation,and difficulties in inheritance.Therefore,this article takes Chaozhou wood carving as the research object and conducts design practice targeting young people.Based on the story content of the Chaozhou wood carving work "Seven Sages Entering Beijing",illustrations and dynamic design are created.Multimedia communication is used to enrich the design language,and innovative forms are used to promote Chaozhou wood carving,making it more in line with current trends and attracting more young people’s attention,To achieve the purpose of promoting and promoting Chaozhou wood carving culture.
