A Corpus-based Study On Teaching Foreign Students “bi” Sentences

Abstract/Summary:
Among modern Chinese comparative sentences,the "Bi" sentences are very common and representative.Due to the characteristics of multiple categories,complex components and variable sentence patterns,as well as the influence of teaching materials,teachers and mother tongue,the "Bi" sentences have a high frequency of errors,which has become the difficulty of learning Chinese and the focus and difficulty of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Up to now,not much research has been conducted on the teaching and design of "Bi" sentences,focusing mostly on the ontology of "Bi" sentences and second language acquisition.Therefore,in order to optimize the teaching effect of teachers to a greater extent,improve the learning efficiency of Chinese learners,and make them better grasp the use of "Bi" sentences,this paper summarizes the reasons for the error of "Bi" sentences learning of international students at the elementary level,and carries out teaching research and design,hoping that it can contribute to the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language to a certain extent.Based on the relevant literature,this paper firstly sorts out two aspects of research on the ontology of the Bi" sentences and the "Bi" sentences in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.In terms of research methods,it mainly adopted comparative analysis,error analysis and testing method according to the needs of the paper.Meanwhile,based on the corpus of Peking University and the HSK dynamic composition corpus of Beijing Language and Culture University,this paper discusses the errors of "Bi" sentences in detail.In the section of error analysis,the types of error caused by "Bi" sentence are divided by the composing characteristics of "Bi"sentences.The types of errors are analyzed mainly from the four parts of "Bi"sentence comparison item,comparison result,comparison mark and comparison point.Finally,the author analyzes the real reasons for the errors from six aspects: negative transfer of mother tongue,overgeneralisation of knowledge of the target language,complexity of Chinese "Bi" sentence itself,and so on.The teaching design of "Bi" sentences is the core content of this paper.Through the analysis of the causes of errors,the difficulties of teaching "Bi" sentences and the problems that should be paid attention to in the teaching process are summarized,and then,based on the specific background of the teaching design of "Bi" sentences,the pre-class teaching design is divided into seven aspects,including the teaching target,the teaching content,the teaching objectives and the teaching priorities.Finally,the steps of teaching "Bi" sentences are designed and described in detail according to the order of introduction,presentation of grammar points,explanation and practice,and homework assignment.At the end of this paper,the author’s experience after teaching is presented,which is expected to make a contribution to the teaching of "Bi" sentences in Chinese as a foreign language.
