Study On The Philology Of Jin Shu Jiao Zhu

Jin Shu Jiao Zhu is a historical note on the official edition of the The History of Jin in the Tang Dynasty,with a total of 130 volumes,which was first engraved in 17 years of the Republic of China.Author Wu Shijian is a famous historian,poet and epigraphist in the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China.Jin Shu Jiao Zhu,as the only complete historical note on The History of Jin revised in Tang Dynasty,has made a detailed textual research on The History of Jin,which has rich philological and historical values.This paper is divided into four chapters to study the literature value of Jin Shu Jiao Zhu by exploring the author’s life,style,edition and description,annotation content and characteristics,historical achievements and shortcomings.The first chapter combs the author Wu Shijian’s life experience,and explores the academic preparation of Jin Shu Jiao Zhu from his family studies,official career and friends.Secondly,it investigates Wu Shijian’s self-defined "ten cases" in the preface,and studies its specific connotation and Wu Shijian’s tendency to note history behind it;Finally,it summarizes the edition and catalogue description of Jin Shu Jiao Zhu.In the second chapter,firstly,the contents of the annotations in Jin Shu Jiao Zhu are sorted and classified,and five categories are summarized: characters,exegesis,historical facts,geography and name system.From it,the annotation characteristics of Jin Shu Jiao Zhu are summarized,that is,extensive recruitment,emphasis on bibliography and the use of new materials.The third chapter explores the historical achievements of Jin Shu Jiao Zhu.The first is the value of historical materials,that is,the supplement and correction of official history;Secondly,it summarizes the quotations from various research works after its publication,reflecting its contribution to historical research;Finally,it analyzes Wu Shijian’s historical thought embodied in the annotation.The fourth chapter gives an overview of the whole book,and points out the shortcomings and shortcomings of the Jin Shu Jiao Zhu.In terms of style,there are some problems,such as unclear boundaries between quotation and case language and repeated quotation of materials;There are some omissions in the examination of schools.
