Ritual culture is an important symbol of Chinese culture and the origin of Chinese civilization.Li,the order of heaven and earth;Yue,the sum of heaven and earth.’Li’ refers to Zhou Li,which means’ distinguish between high and low,distinguish between different ranks.’ It strictly stipulates the ethical and moral norms and codes of conduct that people must abide by and practice.’Yue’ and ’Li’ are accompanied by a trinity of song,dance,and music,which is not only the embodiment of the ritual and music system,but also the crystallization of the spirit of ritual and music.As the sticker and inheritor of ritual music culture,Confucius always carried the thought of ritual music through education and was praised highly by rulers of all ages.In the sixteenth year of the Duke Ai of Lu(479),Confucius died,but the Chinese ritual culture did not stop there.In order to express their respect for Confucius,the world began a ritual of worshipping Confucius that lasted for more than two thousand years.Shandong Qufu,as the birthplace of Confucius ’former residence and Confucian temple,is the source of the Confucius Ceremony.Since 2006,it has been included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage lists.The trend of Confucianism and ritual music research has been rising,and the Confucius Ceremony has also developed rapidly at home and abroad.Through field investigation,the ritual music of Confucius worship in Qufu is changing with the change of the times.Therefore,this paper takes the ritual music of the Confucius Memorial Ceremony in Qufu,Shandong Province as the research object.From the perspective of intangible cultural heritage,it uses multidisciplinary knowledge to cross-expound the development process of ritual music,analyze the ritual music reform of contemporary Confucius Memorial Ceremony,and explore its development path,in order to achieve the goal of innovation under the law of inheritance and development on protection standards,continue the splendid heritage of the Chinese nation,and jointly witness the continuous development of Chinese civilization.This article is divided into six parts :The first part : Sort out the current research status at home and abroad,clarify the research purpose,significance,and research methods.The second part : Starting from the study of intangible cultural heritage,this article analyzes the relevant theories of intangible cultural heritage,explores its characteristics from different perspectives,and then explains the status and particularity of the Confucius worship in Qufu,Shandong.The third part : Starting from the interpretation of the memorial ceremony,this article examines the origin and evolution of the ’Li’ of the Confucius Memorial Ceremony,and explains the reasons for its inheritance and revival from both its own value and social value.The fourth part : Vertically sort out the development process of ’ Yue ’ in the Confucius ceremony,and horizontally elaborate the specific form of ’ Yue ’.The fifth part : Taking the Shidian Ceremony of the Ming Dynasty and the Confucius Ceremony in the Xinchou Year of 2021 as examples of ancient and modern comparisons,it is clarified that the ritual music of the Confucius Ceremony still continues to this day in many changes.The sixth part : Based on the first five parts,this paper analyzes the revival and transformation of contemporary ritual music of Confucius Memorial Ceremony,and puts forward feasible suggestions for its future inheritance and innovation,protection and development. |
