Purify Heart When Watch Dance And Understand Kindness When See Etiquette-Research On The Movements Form And Cultural Interpretation Of Dance At Qufu Confucius Memorial Ceremony

Music and dance for worshiping Confucius used to temple worship is integration of“ music,song,dance and manners”.There is a saying that we will understand moral character when hear the music,purify heart when watch the dance and understand kindness when see the etiquette.It Shows the traditional art characteristics of ancient gagaku dance and the quintessence of Confucian culture music education.The ritual dance of worshiping Confucius is a combinational product of history and times,and endowed with the characteristics of the new times based on the traditional culture.The field investigation found that people pay more and more attention to the ritual process,ignoring the real Confucius cultural symbolism in the new times.Under the trend,inheritance,protection and development of traditional Chinese culture become an important role for the contemporary dance art workers.The author brings the ritual dance of worshiping Confucius into a broader cultural context,using Labanotation and anthropology the two scientific theoretical system to study the ritual dance of worshiping Confucius in the background of the sacrificial ceremony.Through the history,action morphological analysis,cultural characters and function paraphrase of the ritual dance of worshiping Confucius,the author tries to study the cultural connotation and the quintessence of Chinese traditional culture.With three times of qufu Confucius fieldwork and visiting Labanotation specialist with the supervisor many times in Beijing,combining theory with practise,the author write this paper from four aspects:Research summary: based on the historical retrospection of the ritual dance of worshiping Confucius,this paper explores the development trajectory and the survival status at home and abroad of the ritual dance of worshiping Confucius.The memory of music and dance: This chapter combs the history and culture of the activities of worshiping Confucius.Using the method of anthropology of art,this paper explores the origin and changes of the ritual dance of worshiping Confucius.The suspended musical instruments and dance of the queue: with Labanotation,the theme movements of the chapters of the ritual dance of worshiping Confucius is recorded and described to present today's existence form of the public ritual dance of worshiping Confucius objectively and truly.Moderate dance: Based on the description of the ritual dance of worshiping Confucius action with Labanotation,this paper reveals cultural connotation and aesthetic characteristics behind the ritual dance of worshiping Confucius.
