Local drama is a kind of drama with regional characteristics.Like ordinary drama,local drama often uses one or several events to express certain thoughts or feelings in calligraphy,which has special significance for the exportation and expression in culture.This paper will explore the development and dissemination of Shanxi’s local drama,‘Helanglang Xujia’,which is sponsored by the Publicity Department of the CPC Taiyuan Municipal Committee and the Taiyuan Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism and produced by Taiyuan Radio and Television Station and Taiyuan Song and Dance Acrobatic Troupe Co.,Ltd.In the report of the 20 th CPC National Congress,General Secretary Xi Jinping stressed’We should not separate ourselves from the people and our creation of literary and artistic works should base on the people’s position.The drama ‘Helanglang Xujia’ takes the story of a family in the 1970 s as a clue,from the old Taiyuan in the 1980 s to the new Taiyuan today.It truly achieves the goal that telling stories about the people and telling people stories.In addition,the drama ‘Helanglang Xujia’ uses the local folk art,Taiyuan Lianhualuo.The drama reflecting the development and changes of Taiyuan in the past 40 years.Meanwhile,local traditional art enrich the stage art,and at the same time,reflecting and summarizing the living and spiritual state of Taiyuan citizens to a certain extent,so that the local drama can emerge in an independent context.The first chapter of this paper is the background and significance of the study of the drama ‘Helanglang Xujia’.The second chapter analyzes the characteristics and advantages of the drama ‘Helanglang Xujia’.The third chapter studies the market analysis and promotion practice of drama.The fourth chapter carries out the market swot analysis and the promotion practice discussion of the drama ‘Helanglang Xujia’.The fifth chapter discusses the social and economic benefits of the tour of the first part of the drama ‘Helanglang Xujia’ in two years.The sixth chapter points out the shortcomings of the drama ‘Helanglang Xujia’and puts fo rward suggestions for it.I hope that the research could play a certain reference role in the development and dissemination of Shanxi local dramas and other local dramas.
