Literary and artistic works resonate with the times.With the social transformation and the transformation of public aesthetics,it has become inevitable for opera art to express a new life and a new era.Since the 20 th century,influenced by the social environment in China and the art of Western drama,the narrative of modern Jin Opera has also gradually developed.In the process of gradual adjustment,a narrative theme rooted in the local area and deeply rooted in the times has been formed,with the people as the center,creating ordinary and real characters,and constructing a stage of virtual and real integration and multiple innovation.This has carried out a continuous extension and breakthrough in the aesthetic thinking and narrative strategy of traditional opera.Represented by the modern drama "Taiyuan Street Cultural Red Series" — "Shangma Street","Qifeng Street",and "Yingxin Street",the three works creatively use several small and medium-sized streets in the city of Taiyuan to carry the humanistic spirit of the liberation war and the great era of reform and opening up,and narrate a story that is rooted in the local area but transcends the local area in a localized manner,displaying the spiritual outlook of the people of Taiyuan,which is thought-provoking.In terms of narrative content,the narrative concept of "authenticity" runs through,displaying unlimited story time with limited narrative time,displaying the depth and breadth of contemporary social life in the intertwined relationship between people,including rich and profound historical and emotional themes,and shaping realistic,three-dimensional and interesting contemporary Shanxi people and their group images;In terms of narrative organization,it adheres to the narrative principle of "structure first" in Chinese classical opera,forming a multi line parallel structural layout,while embracing the traditional plot concepts of "worship strange","worship emotional",and "relaxed and moderate",and utilizing a large number of suspense and sudden turns to achieve a tortuous and reasonable plot;Narrating the performance of the audience’s hearing,enriching the musical form to increase narrative depth and emotional level,combining singing and recitation,achieving a transition from narrative to lyricism in the aria,showcasing the emotional world of the characters,reciting "good seclusion",supplementing the narrative,and also using the audience’s hearing and association to build space and build the image of Taiyuan city;Visually,the actor’s understanding of the character and mature performance skills are mainly used to evoke emotions,complete the transformation of the text story,and integrate drama and dance drama elements to create a stage space that combines reality and reality through multiple media,with one scene to the end.Based on the successful experience of the "Taiyuan Street Cultural Red Series",contemporary drama narrative must first actively absorb the concepts and techniques of other nationalities,times,and genres,and "cross" itself;Secondly,it is necessary to achieve Chinese stories with localized narrative perspectives,nationalized narrative methods and styles,highlighting core socialist values and traditional virtues;Finally,it is necessary to fully consider the audience’s initiative to "re understand" and "re create",stimulate audience emotional resonance and value identification from a civilian perspective,and liberate audience imagination and creativity through the sensory narrative system of the stage.
