Study On The Form And Art Of Composition Of Qin Seal

The Qin Dynasty was the first unified dynasty in Chinese history.Since the Qin Dynasty unified many countries into one country for the first time,fundamental changes were made in politics,economy,culture and social system.Correspondingly,there were changes in the writing and seals of the Qin Dynasty.The seals of the Qin Dynasty changed the different styles of ancient seals of the Warring States in terms of both text and seal methods.The changes of text and the wide use of boundary seals in seal methods also became the main symbols of the characteristics of the Qin seal style.This paper is mainly carried out from three aspects: First,it analyzes the development of the form of the Qin seal in the background of the time,as well as the continuation of the Qin seal in the early Han Dynasty and its influence,focusing on finding out the development of these problems,and exploring the causes behind these problems.Secondly,combined with the views of Ming and Qing Dynasty seal theory,it explores the aesthetic characteristics of the seal method of Qin Dynasty,and closely links the literati’s aesthetic perception of seal cutting with the aesthetic characteristics brought by Qin seal.Finally,starting from the works with Qin seal style in the early Han Dynasty and Ming and Qing dynasties,this paper analyzes the inheritance and development of Qin seal in later generations,and summarizes the limitations of these seals.Through the above process,it is expected to make a more comprehensive explanation on the study of the Qin seal method,and effectively improve the problems in the creation of the Qin seal.
