Research On Lu Lin’s "Ji Li Zi" Woodcut Comics Strip

The woodcut comic strip "Ji Li Zi" was first created by artist Lu Lin from late 1946 to early 1947,and was first published in April 1948,second published in October 1949 and republished twice in 1950.The woodcut comic strip "Ji Li Zi" depicts the bloody history of a liberation fighter named "Ji Li Zi" from a poor peasant who was oppressed by the landlord,and the story of how his family was able to turn over and become a fighting hero after his family was liberated.The woodcut print of "Ji Li Zi" was created by Lu Lin after graduating from the Fine Arts Department of the Lu Xun Academy of Arts and Letters in Yan’an and working in the Political Department of the Jinsui Military Region in 1945.Most of the materials for the creation of the "Ji Li Zi" woodcut comic book came from the period of land reform,but the publication and subsequent wide dissemination of the "Ji Li Zi" woodcut comic book benefited from the new army consolidation movement carried out by the "Ji Li Zi" woodcut comic book from the end of 1947 to the beginning of 1948.It resonates with the soldiers of the corps and the influence it has in the army.The construction of the images in "Ji Li Zi" is in line with the requirements of the new military movement,and it has continued to spread and have an impact after that.This paper takes Lu Lin’s "Ji Li Zi" woodcut comic strip as the research object,and uses Lv Lin’s learning,creative experience and the timeline of "Ji Li Zi" works from generation,publication to influence as the clues of the text.Through literature research,image analysis,Text analysis,comparative research and other methods are used to comprehensively analyze the woodcut comic strip of "Ji Li Zi".This article discusses the origin of the woodcut comic strip "Ji Li Zi";Lu Lin’s conception of the subject matter,creation method and artistic expression of the woodcut comic strip in "Ji Li Zi";the generation and reception of visual images in the woodcut comic strip "Ji Li Zi" The dissemination and influence of woodcut comic strips are analyzed from four aspects.Through the study of the woodcut comic strip "Ji Li Zi" to explore the path and thought of Lu Lin’s artistic creation,he also has a deep understanding of the context of the times,the basic methods and appearance of literary and artistic creation in the liberated areas,the Chinese Communist Party’s literary and artistic propaganda methods in the Revolutionary War era,The establishment of image paradigms such as "Land Reform" and "People’s Liberation Army" is explored.
