| National strategies such as Healthy China and Strong Talent Country have put forward new requirements for talent diversification and high-quality development.Modern dance in colleges and universities,as a dance for two people, has the aesthetic characteristics of beautiful dance moves and smooth dance steps, which can enhance the temperament of students, enhance the sense of cooperation, improve aesthetic ability, and promote the all-round development of students. It is deeply loved by college students. At present, various colleges and universities across the country have launched modern dance teaching. However,in the teaching of modern dance in colleges and universities, there are some problems such as single teaching methods and conservatism. This paper adopts the methods of literature review, expert interview, questionnaire survey, experiment, mathematical statistics, etc.,based on the analysis of the advantages of situational teaching method, aiming at the problems existing in the current modern dance teaching in colleges and universities, attempts to introduce situational teaching method into the special modern dance teaching, and explore its teaching effect. This study selected 48 students majoring in sports dance in 2020 and divided them into an experimental group and a control group. The experimental group used situational teaching method, while the control group used traditional teaching method.Through comparative experiments, the following research conclusions were obtained:(1)Situational teaching of modern dance enables learners to learn and solve problems in practical application by putting them in specific situations. The theoretical basis for the design of modern dance situational teaching content includes situational cognition theory, constructivism theory and pragmatism theory. The basic teaching principles include openness, guidance, interest and practicality, which provide a basis for the design of challenging, authentic and cooperative scenes in the teaching content.(2)In terms of learning interest, the experimental group showed higher levels of negativity, positivity, skill learning, and course attention than the control group(P<0.05),especially in skill learning(P<0.01).It shows that the situational teaching method can effectively mobilize students’ learning enthusiasm and internal motivation, transform passive learning into active learning, and then improve students’ interest in learning modern dance.(3)In terms of specialized techniques, the experimental group also showed significantly higher comprehensive scores in basic element combinations, basic step combinations, and performance combinations compared to the control group(P<0.05).It shows that delivering the teaching content to students in the way of characterization and storytelling can stimulate students’ active learning and independent thinking, and help students improve their special skills.(4)In terms of physical fitness, there was no significant difference in the three physical qualities between the experimental group and the control group after the experiment(P>0.05),indicating that situational teaching method pays more attention to students’ actual experience and emotional participation, and plays a greater role in promoting students’ initiative, exploration, and creative activities.(5)In terms of teamwork awareness, the overall score of the experimental group was also higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Completing situational tasks such as competitions and games in the form of group cooperation is beneficial for cultivating teamwork awareness and collective responsibility, improving interpersonal relationships, and promoting the synchronous and healthy development of students’ physical and mental health. |
