With the accelerating pace of urban modernization,regional culture,as an important support for urban brand image design,is a necessary factor for urban competition to gain advantage.City image is the external expression of the systematic characteristics of the city and the carrier of regional culture.The process of globalization has strengthened economic development and cultural exchanges,but the traditional regional culture of many cities has gradually disappeared in the process of urban brand construction,resulting in the increasing homogenization of urban construction.In addition,people have higher requirements for material and spiritual culture in reality and have little understanding of their own urban regional culture,This unique psychology of following novelty leads to the lack of regional culture,and the protection and inheritance of regional culture need to be solved urgently.It is gratifying that domestic designers have gradually realized the necessity and urgency of highlighting the city brand image with the help of regional cultural elements.This paper briefly expounds the relationship between regional culture and urban brand image.Through the analysis of Xuzhou regional culture and urban brand image,from the perspective of visual recognition and combined with modern design ideas,Xuzhou regional culture is combed and innovated from physical culture,behavioral culture and spiritual culture,and applied to Xuzhou urban brand image for practical application,It aims to further enhance the urban brand image of Xuzhou,make the audience understand the urban regional culture more clearly,and contribute to the continuation and inheritance of Xuzhou regional culture.This paper summarizes the performance characteristics of Xuzhou regional culture,summarizes domestic and foreign urban brand image cases,urban image and Xuzhou’s existing urban brand image through research methods,selects and refines regional cultural elements from the research,and forms the system design of Xuzhou urban brand image.
