"Bat" is a light opera created by Austrian composer John Strauss in 1874.This operetta is famous for its bright melody,clever plot and humorous comedy elements.The music style of the play is relaxed and cheerful,and the melody is smooth.It is full of beautiful waltz,polka,mazuka and other dance music.With the light and pleasant story,funny dialogue and exaggerated performance,the audience can enjoy the joy of comedy while enjoying music,making the play more interesting and attractive.Taking Vienna as the background,Bat vividly depicts the living habits and social customs of Viennese citizens at that time,and reflects a popular culture in the social circle at that time,making the play not only a musical,but also a work of historical and cultural value.On the modern stage,"Bat" is still very popular and widely performed in major opera houses and theatres,becoming one of the most popular and classic works in the field of light opera.The aria "Marquis Please Listen" is an aria sung by Adela,the maid in the second act of the operetta "Bat",pretending to mock and ridicule Eisenstein.It is also the author’s favorite aria in this opera.This aria is known as the touchstone of coloratura soprano because of its high difficulty and dexterity,and is the reserved work of coloratura soprano concert.The melody of this song is light and beautiful,and the part of the coloration is flexible and lively,which is better than people’s laughter.It successfully created the image of the witty,lively and bold maid Adela.This paper takes the music text and singing analysis of the aria "Marquis Please Listen" as the research object,and discusses it from three aspects.Among them,the first part mainly introduces the creation background and plot outline;The second part focuses on the analysis of melody structure,tonality and melody characteristics;The third part takes the singing treatment and the portrayal of drama characters as the starting point to think and discuss.The author will explore the work in combination with his own singing experience,with a view to achieving a deeper understanding of the work,promoting his ability to improve the performance and singing skills of the characters,and also providing a theoretical basis for future singers.
