The opening up of the two child and three child policies has led to many changes in the role of family members and the physical and mental health of children,as well as the transformation of the population structure.At this point,the acceptance of new life by first born children is a very important issue.The sense of security discussed in this study refers to the sense of certainty,support,and trust that first born children experience when dealing with their parents and second child.This study mainly examines the impact of parent-child attachment on sibling acceptance in primary school first child children from two dimensions,namely attachment anxiety and attachment avoidance,and explores the mediating role of sense of security.At the same time,explore practical methods for the psychological health of first born children in middle and high grades of primary school from multiple perspectives,This study selected 526 first born children with siblings in grades 4 to 6 from several primary schools in Shenyang and distributed questionnaires.464 valid questionnaires were collected and analyzed using SPSS 23.0.ensure the healthy development of the first born child’s innocence,and enhance the acceptance ability of the first born children towards the second child.The research results are as follows:(1)The attachment anxiety,attachment avoidance,sibling acceptance and security of the first child in the middle and upper grades of primary schools are different in demography variables such as gender,grade,parenting style of the first child,and the age difference between the first child and the second child.The significant difference is manifested as:female first born children are more prone to attachment avoidance,while male first born children are more prone to attachment anxiety;The easier it is for female first child siblings to accept;The sixth grade first child has the most severe attachment anxiety and attachment avoidance tendencies;The first child raised by the elderly shows obvious attachment anxiety,attachment avoidance tendencies,the lowest level of security,and lower acceptance ability of siblings.(2)The negative prediction of attachment anxiety in first born children in middle and upper grades of primary school is sibling acceptance.The higher the score of attachment anxiety,the lower the ability of sibling acceptance.A sense of security plays a mediating role in their relationship.(3)The negative prediction of attachment avoidance in first-born children in middle and high grades of primary school predicts sibling acceptance.The higher the attachment avoidance score,the lower the sibling acceptance ability.A sense of security plays a mediating role in their relationship.(4)The negative prediction of attachment anxiety in first born children in middle and upper grades of primary school is sibling acceptance.
