Franz Peter Schubert(1797.1.31-1828.11.19),was an Austrian composer of the late Classical and early Romantic eras.Despite his short lifetime,Schubert left behind wealth of musical works,including more than 600 secular vocal works(mainly lieder),and is known as the "King of Art Lieder" in the history of Western music.His piano sonatas,especially works D.958,D.959,and D960,are his very important late piano works.D.959 has extremely high research value.The thesis is composed of reasons for choosing the topic,literature review,main body and conclusion.The thesis starts with the background information of music history,introduces three late works and highlights the special status and value of the work D.959’s composing characteristics of "frequently expanding music materials"and how to grasp the "individualized dramatically","lyrical singing quality","orchestral sound effects" and "broad extensibility" in the interpretation "specialty.In addition,this thesis also takes the presentation part of the first movement as an example to analyze the performance expression methods of the formation,change and fusion of different rhythmic motives.Through the above research and interpretation,to demonstrate the research value and significance of Franz Schubert’s "Piano Sonata in A Major D.959".
