Schubert is one of the most important composers of the romantic period. His vocal compositions created a new genre of art songs, and he is known as “the king of the songs”. His piano music represents his instrumental music compositions’ creative ideals. Both inherit the classical music’s preciseness structure specification and send out the romantic music’s unique personal feelings, graceful and singing melody.Schubert’s piano sonata in B major D960 is the perfect representative of all his piano sonata compositions. It was his last composition. The music mood is quiet and serene, as if he were lost in summing up his life, displayed the classical music’s preciseness and the romantic’s rich emotions incisively and vividly. It is the peak of the early romanticism music compositions, but seldom people analysis the whole music.This article attempts to take this composition for the object, through precise musical analysis to interpret every movement’s structure, rhythm development features and tonality layout relationship, and on that basis summarize the creation features of Schubert’s piano sonata, explore the correct method to express the idea of artistic conception play.
