| Regional culture is an important part of traditional Chinese culture,integrating time,space and other factors.Local museums shoulder the responsibility of inheriting regional history and culture,bearing the unique historical memory and unique creation of a city.Giving full play to the public education function of museums to inherit regional culture is an effective way to protect traditional culture.Chengdu is known as the "Land of abundance".As a famous historical and cultural city,Chengdu boasts unique regional cultural resources and numerous museums.However,the effectiveness of the public education function of museums in Chengdu in promoting regional culture is uneven,and there are many deficiencies,such as insufficient regional cultural connotation of educational activities,single educational forms,lack of mass education projects,and imperfect feedback channels from audiences.There is still a large room for improvement.Therefore,how to effectively promote the inheritance and development of regional culture with the help of public education is a major problem facing Chengdu regional museums at present,which is also the value of this study.Starting from regional culture,this paper takes four representative museums in Chengdu,namely Jinsha Site Museum,Chengdu Museum,Sichuan Museum and Yongling Museum,as the research objects on the basis of field research,discusses the protection,display and dissemination of regional culture by four museums that play the function of public education,and analyzes their existing problems and deficiencies in detail.Combining with the excellent cases at home and abroad,this paper summarizes the experience and puts forward the improvement ideas and strategies on how to play the educational function of museums in Chengdu to spread the regional culture,and further provides some suggestions on how to play the public educational function of museums in other cities in China to inherit the regional culture.This article is divided into four parts.The first part states the origin of the topic,the research status at home and abroad,the shortcomings of existing research,and the scope and object of this paper.The second part firstly combs relevant concepts,then explains the current situation of public education in Sichuan Museum,Chengdu Museum,Jinsha Site Museum and Yongling Museum,and interprets the regional culture behind the cultural relics displayed in the permanent exhibitions of the four museums,providing a theoretical basis for the following parts.The third part is the center of this paper,which analyzes in detail the measures and typical cases of the four museums playing the function of public education to spread regional culture,surveys the public’s satisfaction with the four museums’ promotion of regional culture through questionnaires,and summarizes the existing problems by combining the public’s online and offline comments.The fourth part,combined with the excellent education cases of museums at home and abroad,based on the experience of the four museums according to their own conditions,put forward the improvement suggestions of spreading regional culture. |
