A Study On The Documentary Style Of Country Films

As an important part of Chinese films,rural films always focus on the vast rural areas of China,reproduce the real life status of the bottom of society with a documentary aesthetic style,and record the changes in the fate of ordinary people under the changes of The Times.Based on the theory of documentary aesthetics,this paper analyzes the expression forms of documentary aesthetics in rural films,and discusses the roles played by theme,characters,plot,audiovisual and performance in the presentation of documentary style in rural films.The theme expression of the humanistic care for individual life and the image shaping of the marginal characters reveal the material truth behind the real life of the country film;The narration of life flow that lightens the conflict enhances the sense of reality from the bottom society;In terms of audio-visual presentation,the documentary style of rural films at the image level is formed by the visual level dominated by long shots,composition methods and special colors,and the auditory level dominated by dialect dialogue and simultaneous sound.The addition of non-professional actors further adds the realistic texture of life to the country film.Finally,combined with the graduation work Chengzi,the thesis analyzes and summarizes the documentary content of the rural themed graduation works from the perspectives of theme,characters and plot,and explores the documentary style image presentation of rural films from both visual and auditory aspects.
